in all the away games you have gone to , can include games at Wembley , what has been your least favourite game?

apart from the game most Bolton fans would say - the 5-0 defeat to Stoke at Wembley , 1 that always sticks out is the 1-0 defeat to Wigan in 2008 , they had a man sent off with in 3 minutes and were still much better than we were , terrible day , even Heskey scored.

Brighton at The Withdean. We draw 1-1, but it rained all game, and could barely see the pitch because of the running track round the pitch, it was also misty! Terrible!

Yeah we won but I was ill as f**k, and because of where our seats were, I found myself watching the game on the big screen rather than the pitch.

Chesterfield, moronic support who throw bricks and bottles at you outside the ground. hope that's still not the case.

Preston, Boring, Soulless Ground in a rough part of town. no decent pubs anywhere.

    Hull City away.

Played them on Boxing Day a few years back, the year they went up. I'd been ill over Christmas with a cold but went to the game wrapped up anyway and saw the most gutless display ever, lost 2-0 didn't even register a shot on target... cold went onto my chest and ended up with a stonking chest infection. I've never felt so cold and ill on that coach coming home. Absolutely dreadful.

A regular one is Bolton. We never beat Bolton so its a wonder anybody even bothers going anymore. Should just award the fookers the points.

Don Valley Arena Rotherham the worst away game ever. Everything about the day was awful including the shit view too.

Gillingham another horrible away trip, and the worst away end along with AFC Wimbledon's gaff

Yeovil is a bit depressing. Tiny ground with an open terrace in the middle of an industrial estate... Nowhere to drink nearby either.

But Luton has to win it. An absolutely horrible place. Hope we never have to play there again.

Too many. Travelled all the way to Plymouth to see us get hammered 4-1 and the away end was uncovered. It pissed down for the whole match. Port Vale saw us concede 3 goals in 3 minutes, Cardiff saw us lose 5-1 and the abuse we were getting for the whole match was real scary. This was not banter but real hatred. We had a Police escort to the coach after the game as there were hundreds of Cardiff fans wanting our blood...... this after they had won, God help us if we had won.

    Barnsley away.

About 10 of us travelled to the dreadful place that is Oakwell (sorry Arkwright). Alot of the ground was empty, and away fans making a lot more noise.

We won 2-0. Obviously the local thugs couldn't handle this, so thumped my son, unprovoked and very discreetly, in the stomach on the way back to the car. He was so winded, I thought he had been stabbed. A few concerned home fans came over and were lovely and said this kind of thing happens a lot. Won't be going there again.

Luton is the worst ground I have ever been to, but definitely not the worst away day purely because they're our bitter rivals so the excitement of that generally overshadows how much of a dump the place is.

In terms of the away day as a whole, I'd say Wolves. I've been there twice and both times had a group of Wolves fans start on the group I'm with, completely unprovoked. Also being a mile away from the pitch and constantly threatened to be chucked out by their stewards makes it one of the least enjoyable places to watch football. One positive, their home fans make a very good atmosphere to be fair.

Used to be Chesterfield, i don't know if that's changed with the new ground at all. The Home Fans used to wait outside for you to come out and ambush you like.

Mine was Wigan away in the mid eighties.

About 300 of us placed on a grass muddy bank, started snowing which turned to slush then the fog set in with us then conceding 5 goals in the last 20 mins. After the match there were mobs of Wigan wanting a ruck then back at the station our train broke down at Stafford not getting home until 3am
