Monday night - 8.15pm (so don’t be going to the pub as any stoppages and you’ll miss the end )

Both teams started the season well so could be a decent game.

Not sure if Gomez is available but if not I’ve no issues with Fabinho covering at CB as he was brilliant last time out. Be nice to see Thiago again. Not sure how Arsenal will line up.

    Thoughts?

Working nights so can't watch us get done over by the Spanish David Moyes.

Can't see Arsenal getting anything at Anfield. Their open style suits Liverpool perfectly.

    3-0.

I couldn't tell you who starts for us on Monday. Arteta has three big selection headaches:

    - Lacazette or Nketiah. Both have started the season well with 2 goals each.
    - Elneny or Ceballos. 8 weeks ago Ceballos was a lock in. Elneny has been consistent and not really put a foot wrong thus far
    - David Luiz. Arteta rates him, admires him and will probably want him in the side. But where does that put Gabriel and Tierney?

On that last point, in Arteta's 3-4-3, he likes to employ Tierney as the LCB rather than the LWB. This is because it allows us to change without any effort from a 3-4-3 to a 4-3-3 on the fly. The left-wing back (Usually AMN or Saka) can drift inside and the whole defence can shift over and suddenly with Tierney bombing forward, the LWB now centre-mid can operate in the left space and Aubameyang can drift inside. But Tierney's presence is key for all this to happen. If Luiz plays, Gabriel probably moves to LCB and the aforementioned tactic won't work.

It's a really tough fixture to preview. From our point of view, Arteta's 'top 6' record since taking over stands at 3 defeats in 10 matches (with 4 wins) so there's reason to be a little optimistic. But it's Liverpool. Who have only failed to win 3 home games in the last two seasons

So a point would be fantastic. But Arteta is very positive and will want to win.

Personally, I'd be happy getting out of Anfield without a tonking. Since our last win at Anfield, we played 7, lost 5 and conceded 30 ****ing goals.

Think the Arteta factor and lack of home crowd with be a big leveller here so can't see this being the usual demolition job but I still fancy the win.

Good luck LFC can't stand the Arsenal. Full of pretentious pricks with sense of entitlement.

Important that we win here, Arsenal in good form and we need to show that our end of season form was just that, form.

It's going to be interesting to see how much game time AMN gets now and if he's not first choice if he will be happy playing in Europa League and cup competitions.

Obviously it's ridiculously early, but it's essential we win this now City have dropped points at home.

Tight game, but we'll win it. Better players, better manager. I know it's not always that simple, but it will be tomorrow I reckon.

Alisson & Thiago both doubts. Thiago we can cope without but **** me if Ali doesn't make it then we're ****ed.

He's still a massive downgrade. We have plenty of midfield options Ali will be more missed Adrian has a lot of mistakes in him.

3 - 2 to Liverpool if Thiago and Alisson don't make it. 4 - 1 to Liverpool if they do.
