general question , what is the furthest you have ever traveled by walking or running or jogging or cycled?

mine would be about 6.2 miles from college to my house which takes about 2 hours.

I did a sponsored 10 mile walk at school, that would be my longest I think.

Walking - Did the three peaks back in my teens, about 25 miles.

Cycling - I bash out 200 miles every Saturday morning.

Running 10 miles in one year is not that good.

It's troubling though, reached the 10 miles at the end of May, had to spend the rest of the year sat down.

I know what you mean. Is a slog for me to go to the kitchen for a bag of doughnuts and then have to walk back to my comfy chair.

Woah that must have taken you a good 5 or 6 hours if not more!

I remember walking across the south downs on a thundery, cold, rainy day for 10km with school, we stopped several times and it was really hilly so it took all day. One of the worst days of my life, we sang songs just to keep us going.

To rub salt in the wound the second we all got on the coach the sun came out.

Also for the last year I've been walking to my school and back every day, 6 miles all together and I haven't lost even a pound to show for it.:rolleyes

Walking doesn't count. Unless you're sitting down all day you probably walk a few miles without even noticing.

So with that in mind, what was the question?
