We should beat them. We won't.

I've seen us lose to countless poor United teams in the last few seasons and I'm expecting us to do so again here, not sure why but we seem to have a mental block against this lot.

Seem to lose to them at least once a season whether they're full strength, put the kids out, have ten men, favourites, underdogs or any other combination of circumstances that seemingly do us no favours in beating this lot. Just 13 wins in my lifetime (31 years).

    I'd go
    Gazzaniga
    Aurier - Sanchez - Alderweireld - Vertonghen
    Dier - N'Dombele
    Moura - Alli - Son
    Kane

    United 2-1 :smackhead

    I hope McTominay is back for this, if he is I'd play the following;

    DDG
    AWB Tuanzebe Maguire Williams
    McTominay Fred
    James Lingard Rashford
    Martial

1-1, Ole keeping his form up against the league's best managers.

Only because we've been missing Pogba for months?
If we play the midfield we put out yesterday against Spurs we'll get overrun. I hope Solskjaer doesn't revert to his 5 at the back nonsense too.

1-2, quietly confident we’ll win this.

a manager whose only plan is to defend deep and counter vs a squad with two fit senior midfielders and can't penetrate stingy defenses. mourinho will win a boring, ugly match by a goal.

A manager who plays to his strengths :shrug

Don't think we have it in us to just sit back and defend deep.

United probably better suited to it which is what saw them beat us earlier in the year, along with a good performance from DDG.

everyone feels that way, and then mourinho shows up. it's more a criticism of our inability to unlock such defensive tactics. i commend your consistency in defending mourinho, but his "strengths" have also been his weaknesses in recent years. depends on the results, i guess.

With Jose in charge I'm confident going into this match for once. Under Poch his tactics always worried me in big games but Jose gives me confidence.

If Spurs show up this should be a 3-2 or 4-2 win. Both defenses struggle but both can score.

Do you ever get the temptation to ditch the season ticket and go and follow a non-league team instead?
