I'd rotate for this a bit

    Ddg
    AWB Varane Lindelof Telles
    McTominay Fred
    Sancho Donny Lingard
    Cavani

It'll be interesting what a difference Antonio makes for them.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Van de Beek
    Sancho Lingard Greenwood
    Cavani

I think we'll see a second string, with those who were on the bench yesterday starting.

Rumours seem to be in the air that he wants the United job. Not keen on it though.

After seeing Upper90s post I was going to say that "Pivot" seems to be the most used word among Utd fans lately.

It's been around for a minute. You're right, though, that it's pretty popular right now. Likely because it's been a priority position for years now for us and we can't stop talking about how it's not been filled

is telles fit yet? henderson? greenwood needs to play, in my opinion. whether that's on the right or up top, it doesn't matter. sancho needs to start and get a full 90 if he's fit. it's time to start testing whether he's going to sink or swim and since this is going to be city's cup anyway, it's a good match for him. bruno and ronaldo need a rest and we should be starting dalot so we can get him fit for champions league, whether that's tomorrow or at the weekend. i would have gone with matic, but i think we may see a lot of long balls to antonio and i trust mctominay to win those.

    ------------------de gea
    dalot----lindelof------maguire-----telles?
    ------mctominay------donny
    sancho-------lingard-------martial
    ------------greenwood

(i don't know how to space it out without hyphens. don't judge me.)

With DDG in form, I don't see any reason to rest him. Want him to keep the momemtumum going.

    I'd go with:

    DeGea

    Dalot Bailly Varane Telles

    McTom VDB

    Sancho Hannibal Jess

    Greenwood
Subject to players being fit too. Would like to see the youngsters involved. Elanga and Shore at some point.

Following on from hearing the news that he was back in the squad, Phil Jones ear drum burst.

Medical team are unsure when he'll return.

His ear drum burst, affecting his balance, causing him to fall over and sustain an elbow injury and strained thigh muscle.

Has there ever been a player injured more than injury itself?
