but this is for home fans only???

    Surely its not away fans.

the only logic right now is local fans of a set amount are able to come to the ground on their own steam (cars) and sit in, not sure about food in the area, seems a little risk (unless they are allow bring i suppose) and then go home/ wherever they want to go.

no OOT, no away days for fans but at least its something.

if they could get 3 months like that from christmas it'd be a miracle imo but you never know.

I assume so too, but even with home fans, they can be coming from several different LA's. The majority of LCFC fans live outside the city.

Yeah to be fair i can see myself not being allowed in as i live in London and have to travel to games, no idea how they police it in reality though

Both liverpool clubs will be quiet then as i don't see how people will be able to travel from the far east, Scandinavia, Cornwall or where ever to Anfield either

It'll be down to the clubs to restrict sales to locals only. You have to buy in advance so I'm sure Southampton can look at only selling tickets to those with Southampton postcodes or whatever.

Spurs have already requested fans submit identification for anyone wishing to attend this season so they know exactly who will be using the ticket.

How strenuous the checks will be at the actual stadium is another matter but certainly in advance they should be able to police who they sell to pretty easily.

I bought my season ticket at the start of the season so already have it, how they allocate will have to be done by postcode, but i wonder how many have done what i did and got it sent to an SO postcode (got mine sent to my mums) as i thought it might be locked to the city

I'm going to guess that most grounds will need to give people some form of time arrivals to spread out entry to the ground? so i would guess that everyone will be checked. Wouldn't be shocked if they got jobsworth and take everyone's temperature as well.

Think of the stewards, concession staff etc they get to go do some work so heopfully it all works out and is not a false start but it does feel like a dodge from Bo Jo to distract from other topics.

Tier one of lockdown, so basically Leicester is no spectators, interesting how well this go down in terms of fairness. Also a scratcher, they doing this when most areas have 100s of cases per 100k, but didnt allow it in sept when the average was 1 10th of that.

So looking ahead, Brighton V Southampton looks like the only game you can safely say will have fans in attendance for the first weekend of December. Will be a great watch though even if there is only 4,000 fans in. It will be haphazard with differing home advantage etc. but if I can watch even 2 games a weekend with fans present I will be delighted. So many of these games are turning turgid and lethargic like back in July. A few thousand fans will make more difference than you’d imagine, even the 1,000 at Windsor park made a difference.

you'll see Premier League clubs suing the government, can't imagine our owners would have let it go with us not being allowed fans but other areas with higher number allowed them because they didn't want to up the restrictions in the north

    It's happening.

Don't agree with it TBH. They should wait until all clubs can have fans back so it's a fair playing field.

    No you won't.
Governments makes laws, football clubs abide by those laws.

4000 in is no good really.

but then we were told we'd have a forever * against last years title due to the behind closed doors etc etc.

So now some clubs get a crowd in and it will only increase as we go through season but its "fine" until Liverpool are top of the table i expect ;)

if the situation is how it was when only Leicester are in local lockdown you would, Leicester was in local lockdown yet it had lower numbers than a lot of the north west, they would have legit grounds to sue for restraint of trade as Leicester was being treated differently for political reason not on health grounds.

How many other businesses have sued? Did you see how they treated Andy Burnham when he 'demanded' the same financial support that was available when the whole country was in lockdown, and is available again now the whole country is in lockdown II? Despite being put in Tier 3, Gtr Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside were given 66% furlough support rather than 80%.
As I said, the government make the laws, good or bad, agreeable or not, fair or foul. :shrug
