“This statue was a charm and we removed the luck from the club and now we have to pay the price,” said the Egyptian.

“When (Khan) asked me to move it I said: ‘You must be crazy’. This is such a fantastic statue which the fans are crying out for.

“But now he has paid the price because the club has been relegated. He called me because he told me he wanted Michael to return. I told him: ‘No way’.

“It’s really upsetting. This was a lucky place. Fulham never go down. Now they are relegated. Now he’s crying.

"Michael Jackson had a charm, had a touch."

A plastic statue for a plastic club. Should have kept it.

He did a lot for Fulham.
I would like to think he was saying it for column inches and a bite back to all the stick he got over it when he put it up.

This is definitely just a bite back at everyone that gave him stick when he revealed it. Such a shame that he's been going senile for the last few years as he really did save our club and put us on a different level to what we were used to previously.

Bizarre. I don't think fans of the majority of British clubs would have allowed this statue to happen in the first place regardless of the chairman putting money in.
