I hope the fat bastard doesn't get the job. I don't want to see my team resort to hoof ball.

I think Allardyce is a good manager. Would be a good move for Sunderland to get him IMO

I really do not want Sam Allardyce as manager, I'd rather have Peter Pan.

I reckon the lad from Burnley, Owen Coyle, would be a good shout personally.

Allardyce is a brilliant manager, yes the long ball was used at Bolton but that was the most effective for the team.

At Newcastle he wasn't given time, and I think he will get that under Niall Quinn.

Gordan Strachan to Sunderland, Keane to Celtic anyone? :whistle

And thats different from the way we're playing now, how?

While BSA would not be high on my priority list he would at least get this defence organised, and who knows we may even score from the odd set piece and not concede bucketloads from them.

    It's "you're an idiot." F*cking dunce. :laugh::dunce:

Of course it's different. I do realise we've been fairly one dimensional in the last few games, but we have played some attractive on-the-deck football this season. We've passed it around fairly well, and only really resorted to blasting it up field out of desperation.

Not necessarily out of desperation, but since Jones came back its an easier option for our less than elegant defenders.

At least if BSA did come in he might actually get the best out of Jones, be it long ball or not, and who knows he may inject some organisation into our 'defence,' if you can call it that at the minute.

Like I say not my first choice but we could do much worse.

No he's not, just because he done job at Bolton doesn't mean he's a football genius ffs, his team relied too much on science and packing the side with hammer throwers, some of Us have watched very good football over the years, Champions League football too, unless You're very elderly that level of football was something foreign to Bolton, so it's all relative. After KK and SBR Big Fat Sham was a massive culture shock, an awful excuse for football. Personally I hope he gets the Sunderland job, he's poison.

i was more on about "I don't want to see my team resort to hoof ball"

which is clearly not true and he and along with Bolton have been stero-typed to play that way

But it says exactly the same as what the BBC and Sky Sports said? Plus they were the first to release what Allardyce said.

Well he did exactly the same at Newcastle, once Habib Beye stopped hitting 60 yard diagonal balls we discovered We had a damn fine player here, Allardyce's "style" of football is awful, AWFUL

  18. David O'Leary has been linked with you lot... Be afraid, very afraid..... I know the odds are slim (see below) but i hope for your sakes he don't take over.

    Heres his odds:

    D O'Leary: 9/1

I don't think he'd be a bad appointment for Sunderland in fairness.
