Well he’s left his boyhood club Celtic for a side worse than Celtic reserves, so no. No we can’t.
Apparently Pedri is close to signing a new deal with a billion pound release clause I reckon the Geordies will break that one day.
No not really, we probably wouldn’t get his replacement now, so the end of the season* was always my dream.
* Just got to hope we start winning though, the owners are not known for their patience.
Seeing all these links with Leicester doesn't surprise me. The smart move for Newcastle is to financially bully the likes of Leicester, Spurs, Everton, Arsenal....
They should also go to Everton in January and tell them to name their price for Calvert-Lewin.
Can't see them qualifying for Europe for at least two seasons. Allows him the time to create and coach sides, which he is really good at.
Said the same when he was at Swansea.
New Newcastle manager?
Wait until Guardiola realises the Sauds have more cash than Abu Dhabi County.
Try as I might I just can't see Pep at Newcastle.
Said something similar when at Swansea before jumping ship for Liverpool if I recall.
Edit I notice someone else beat me to it.
If he's been genuine, fair play to Rodgers for wanting to tough out what is becoming a bad patch, it seems like the perfect time to jump ship to me.
This is what Rodgers said whilst at us. "I'm not going to run out on a club that has given me this great opportunity. I've always been open and said I won't be here forever. But Swansea is a brilliant club and I owe the people."
I feel like things change though when a club of Liverpool's size come in, I don't think anyone could really blame him for going even though he did sign a new contract not long before. Any comments he made, and perhaps went back on, are long forgotten. Going from Leicester to Newcastle isn't quite the same thing. That being said, he hasn't actually publicly said anything and I wouldn't rule anything out.
Interestingly from our perspective, when I looked a couple of days ago, four of the top nine favourites for the job of the richest club in world football came made their names in coaching at the Swans.
To be fair he said he was committed to Leicester when linked with the Tottenham job and was true to his word that time.
Never an official approach and doubt they would have ever paid the compo. Fair play if he stays but if Newcastle pay up then I wouldn't bet against him going.
The gay Newcastle fans don’t care themselves
Apparently this is a good opportunity to influence the Saudi view on homosexuality
Just say you don’t care if they stone you to death as long as they win you the league first lads.
@Addick By Nature
They are connected to the club and their foundation. They can't take a stand, even if they wanted to.
I would be more interested to see what the local LGBTQ groups there have to say about this takeover.
What the f##k is lgbtq ? These ridiculous bunches of initials seem to be getting longer.
To be fair, they have realised this and tend to use a + to abbreviate all the extras.
Google exists pal I'm sure you will be educated.
I am sure all the managers will get asked about it in their Pre match press conferences.
Tbf I don't think I want to google it , I assume it's one of the new multi toilet using genders ?
