It's well known that Fraser & Eddie fell out big time. Hope Eddie sends him on the first train back to Aberdeen. Eddie will get that team playing too, backs against the wall/siege mentality is his speciality.
Don't know if he would be any good building a club up, would probably be their best realistic option though Sent from my 6025H_EEA using Tapatalk
It's safe to say there isn't an abundance of choice. Whoever they get won't be from the top echelons short of getting a manager who is already in a job by throwing silly money at both him and the club he works for.
John Terry in the frame? Can't see it myself, though he has gone different route than the likes of Gerrard and Lampard, by firstly becoming an asst. manager, he certainly won't have the advantages Gerrard has or to some extent Lampard and would surely need a massive name as his number two.
Has Emery ever been in a relegation battle as manager? They’d be better off with someone that has for the remainder of this season anyway especially if they can’t get players in January.
Emery would be an interesting one. He's clearly a fantastic manager in his home country (and in Europe) but looked a bit lost in the Premier League. He's obviously a very intelligent man though so I wouldn't back against him learning from his mistakes and being a revelation if he's given time. I can't see Howe being the right fit at all TBH. He seemed to get worse with the more 'high profile' players Bournemouth signed, and Newcastle will definitely be bringing in a fair few of them. Think he'd be better suited to someone like Norwich who have a tight knit, limited squad and not £500m to spend.
Feels like a bit of a circus to me, odds constantly shifting. They should be careful not to waste too much time picking because the team risks being cut off.
Think Toonai Emery would be a great manager if they can get him. Not so sure on Howe, never been a fan of him.
Emery is a good cup manager, but massively underwhelming when it comes to league football. His record this season, with a team that is absolutely stacked with quality, is dire. He's spent a lot of money with Villareal, who were supposedly looking at binning him off. Bonus.
Should be offering Fat Sam a short term contract and then go again in the summer. Some one beat me to it.
Think Emery will be a disaster myself, although not necessarily entirely down to him despite the fact I don't rate him. Newcastle fans have never been particularly realistic, and that will be tenfold now despite how monumentally shit they currently are. He'll keep them up, but come next season results will be expected, and won't be forthcoming.
There may be an announcement this week and if not, it has to be during the international break. We need to be in a single figure number away from safety by January to have a chance of staying up. Interesting situation for Conte. Job offer at a club with a lack of big time budget, or possible offer (don't know) at a relegation outfit with funds but also stack loads of journeymen who aren't up to Premier League standards. We're about to see whether our owners - who don't know much about the game - are going to make some smart decisions.
