Benitez back to Newcastle? I really hope not but I've no doubt he'd keep them up. Certainly a better option than Howe.
Our owners comprise of a three part collaborative: the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, a pair of Jewish property developers, and an English businesswoman. They're working together, and have brought us a manager who really understands the fans. The area is buzzing. The impact of Eddie Howe is significant. I can only hope the press glare positively affects the Saudi regime into accelerated change.
I never thought Newcastle climbing to the lofty heights of 11th would bring about regime change in Saudi Arabia.
Always said it, give that club some success and they'd become huge. They'd have no trouble filling a good size stadium every week too.
Yeah they've always had the fans. Not surprised though, the north east is huge and Newcastle aside it's littered with completely shit uninspiring football clubs, so they must have a huge catchment area.
And every Geordie you meet is a Newcastle fan, unlike a lot of cities where you get tons of Liverpool, Man United, etc...they all seem to be Barcode fans.
