City can put a run together like last season and also could buy a centre back in Jan so are still very much in it.

You keep Rodgers and spend well in Jan I think you’ll be much closer than 20-30 points behind, I think you’ll easy be single digits behind us. I don’t see Chelsea getting as close as you.

Leicester are doing awesome and have one game per week and a young vibrant team full of running.

Chelsea had a great run but a lot if easy games. they will not be near the title whoever wins it.

We now have a couple injuries but have not got a top 4 rival team to play in the period so I hope we continue the run.

    city still have top players

But you aren't dropping 11 pts in same time they win those games let's be honest.

I would also question that they are capable if it in their current state.

But what about their squad after spending another £200m on fullbacks?

I get that after scrweing up a few and essentially being so close last year, nobody wants to tempt fate but as I said to you before chief if you don't win it this season then when will you ever get a better chance?

City have dropped tremendously from past two seasons, and there are no other "big" challengers. Leicester are closest but how are they closing that gap. Not like you look like losing at the moment.

    Had to happen eventually.

kompany is clearly a huge loss for them, and remember also its not just about the players but them as a team. They just not the same this season.

11 point gap (gap to Leicester is less) is 6 draws or 4 losses.

anything can happen yet. we just need to focus on next game really and chalk each one off.

We wont win every game, realistically you need to lose about 5-6 games and draw the same amount, and that isnt happening. I mean the great escape season happened so its not impossible, but I think lightning doesnt strike twice ;)

I'll stick my neck out. This City team (without Laporte and Kompany) is not capable of stringing anywhere near 15 straight wins.

One is one of the best CBs in Europe (though he will back soon enough) and the other is a dream of a club captain, with bags of PL winning experience.

ff you think we keeping pace with you for rest of season I take it you predicting us to win almost every game from now on? We will see if you consistent. We will need a 2.8 PPG average to keep it down to single digits.

Someone predicted this based on form (taken from a liverpool forum)

22 point margin for you guys,

Yeah it’ll be a tough ask for sure but doable. I think it’ll be clearer once you are past the 3 Xmas fixtures from the 21st to 28th. Things could look much different after those.

I don’t see us “struggling to get to 80pts”, nor do I see us putting a run of 15 wins together.

We’re not playing well at the moment at all, the players looked knackered, and we’re only just into December. Possibly the intensity of the last 2 seasons catching up with us.

So do half of ours to be honest Matt. I blame the internationals, just in december and we've had what? 4 international breaks, its getting ridiculous. More ridiculous because half the time players are dragged across the globe to play some second rate country that they batter or some pointless friendly.

Salah, van Dijk and Mane last few games look jaded to me.

No chance in the world we are winning the league by 22 points...absolutely no way, not happening.

IF we win the league, City will be second and will be within 6 points of us.

I agree you wont win by 20 points, probably be 90-95 you end up on, you will be able to back off once title is assured, Man city probably 2nd in low to mid 80s. That's my prediction, I could be way off but will see come end of season. :)
