I thought Jokanovic was doing fine, personally. People overrate their squad and underestimate how difficult it can be to get out of a losing streak/atmosphere after a year of being spanked nearly every week

They were never going to challenge for promotion right away this season. Now who knows if they will with the payments still there...

Agreed Tiger, Jokanovic was trying to implement a passing game on a squad that had been used to Wilder-ball for years.

If the owner has used the parachute payments like Fulham, Norwich and Bournemouth and backed him properly they would have gone back up within 2 years under him

We knew that anyway when they basically told us Ramsdale and Berge would be sold before we could buy. Could be an interesting atmosphere this weekend!

What do you mean "used to Wilder-ball"? Such a myth that Wilder sides don't play good football, that Blades 18/19 promotion side were one of the best passing sides I've seen at this level.

Wilder played good football in the promotion season he still implemented crosses and longer balls as well though. He went very route one and defensive the longer time they spent in the premiership.

Jokanovic was trying to implement an extreme high press and passing game with zero crosses or use of the long ball,a complete shift.

id probably take either of those as a short term appointment, anything would be better than the crap we've been watching so far this season, but wouldn't be too inspired if we got them on a long term contract

its not just down to the results, its the quality of performances, too often this season we've had games with 1 or 2 shots, we've been set up all season to try not to lose rather than to try to win games
