Totally agree. He undoubtedly has the talent of a top player, but I don't think he's ever had the heart or mentality.

Not sure I can agree with that.
Under Poch Eriksen was top 5 in the league and CL every season in most distance covered per 90 while playing almost every game. Our pressing game worked because of him. All while still being one of the most productive players in the league.
Something changed last season and he hasn't been the same since but lets not pretend he's got a poor attitude or is shy of working hard.

I don't know about attitude but you'd have to say Eriksen's a player who hasn't really played well in 2019 or 2020. For all his talent, it's a risky signing if he moves on.

Eriksen thrives at passing and shooting. He likes to pass through balls or tough balls for Kane and Son to catch. Good luck doing that to Lukaku and Alexis who are slower.

He's not fully focused on football. A great player will just sign his contract quietly without much complaints and just let his football do the talking. His lack of playing time caused him to lose his sharpness and further reduce his enthusiasm for the game.

You’d have to at this point think it’s a better move to go for Szoboszlai than Eriksen

I mean this is quite a reductionist way to look at things, but in any case, Martinez, Lukaku and Sanchez are all quicker than Kane - ffs even Pinamonti is. Eriksen's problem is a lack of application, whatever the reason may be for that. He's so bad that arguably four or five different players do or could do a better job in his role at this point.

Few reports linking us to Dean Henderson on loan. Only makes sense if the rumours about Maty Ryan wanting to move back to Australia are true.

ESPN claiming Eriksen has been offered to Arsenal for £12m

His star has definitely waned in the last 18 months but our desperation for creativity may see us explore this. Is it a good move? Probably not but we’re looking pretty lost going forward at the moment.

    I would love his problems.

Massive signing on fee, loyalty bonus, wages, and rinse and repeat.

I would however assume given the spurs v arsenal angle that it's "fake news" almost assured to get clicks and reposting (like here)

It’s a fairly reputable Arsenal based journalist reporting it, hence me giving it the time of the day.

Who's the best lad in Liga Nos for us to nick next? Bruno has been awesome and Telles looks really promising so far.

Why not just give Ozil a start?

He hasn't been the answer for a while now.

Ozil somehow becomes more important the less he plays.

From ourselves it would either be Eduardo Quaresma, young centre back who looks really comfortable and more experienced than he actually is every time he plays, Joelson Fernandes but he’s only 17 currently and as mentioned before Nuno Mendes is looking terrific at left wing back

Couldn't afford him, or Grealish wouldn't want the move?

Because I reckon you are probably wrong on both counts.

For 12m, you can’t go wrong can you? Even after a terrible season you should still be able to recoup most of the money back. It’s a no brainer for me.

Overseas players couldn’t give a f**k about loyalty, local rivalry means nothing.....there just mercenaries.

Swap "overseas" with "most" and I think you're about spot on.

    *Also swap "there" with "they're"!

    Leave it Gate!
