I've noticed recently that a lot of threads, mainly in CA, have been closed for being "off-topic".

Quite a lot of these threads have consisted of sensible and interesting debate, and there doesn't seem to have been a will/want to turn the thread back on topic. Also IMO some of the best threads on forums are ones that go off topic (such as the one during the WC in which Hull Lad was "found out").

What I'm asking for is if threads that go off-topic but contain sensible debate and there isn't any interest in the original topic of the thread anymore to be allowed to stay up.

Also I'm knackered so I've probably failed to use common sense somewhere in this post so sorry for that in advance

    Agreed!

The best thread to ever exist on this forum started off as a discussion of stupid things people say, and well... it didn't stay on that topic for very long.
