Set to star Naomi Watts.
She will defo be a Targaryan
Nah, definitely from Dorne
I’d think a Robert’s Rebellion would’ve been more of a money maker for the less hard core fans. I’m sure there will still be boat loads of watchers, but idk how many are going to want seasons worth f GoT lore.
We already know a lot about Robert's Rebellion, and a lot ot characters from the story are in GoT. That ties the makers to a lot of established work they have to abide by, and give less room for creativity.
Yeah hope they leave Robert’s Rebellion tbh I would like to see something based on the Dothraki and that region where Dany spent most seasons. Khal Drogo origin story ideally.
Again, we have already seen Drogo, and know much of his story, so it would be limited. The further they get away from the current timeline and characters the better.
Would you be opposed to Aegon's conquest or a dance of dragons given we know what happens?
No because we know a lot less about the event, and we don't know the characters.
Robert's Rebellion we basically know everything that happens, and we already have seen most of the major players in it (several of which are big characters in GoT), so they are tied to a very narrow storyline.
Young drogo? How he became leader of his people? Doesn’t have to be that but something in that part of the world would be cool or something in Dorne?
Wouldn’t even have to involve GRRM that much just get some background stuff from him and go from there. cba if they are just going from the books I would like fresh stuff.
Aegon's conquest or a Dance of Dragons is too soon I reckon. Happy they will choose to start of the prequel series slow.
I think stories which would have characters that have been in GoT would pick up the most interest for the general fans. I’ll watch anything, but I think the more casual GoT fan who hasn’t read all the books and come up with all the theories won’t be as interested without any name recognition.
I dunno, I'm sure most won't have heard of the books before the first season of GoT aired, and it was a huge success without people exactly knowing who each character was. There is enough weight behind it now to bring in a new cast for new stories set thousands of years back, and people will watch it. Its one of the mistakes Disney made with Star Wars is they kept bringing back the old names and set stories around what happened in the original saga, that caused franchise fatigue.
I haven't read the books. I'd much rather see something new rather than Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark again.
Think one reason people are demanding this is of Rhaegar Targaryan. Given he is quite possibly the most important character in the series even though he's dead. That and the mystery that lies between him, Lyanna, and Robert.
I reckon they will show a lot of flashbacks in the final series about them that will give some closure for people.
