I feel kind of fortunate regarding Ed Sheeran as I’ve managed to avoid his warblings up to now. I did see some of his Glastonbury gig and I have to say it was pretty ordinary fare for a headliner.

As for U2, their first four albums were very good at the time, I suppose you had to be there because a lot of it hasn’t aged well..

That’s what I’m getting it at. Some people don’t care whether it’s got depth or not. And that doesn’t make them dumb.

Britpop and moreso,Indie rock was the last recognisable youth culture in this country and was a pleasure to grow up a part of in the early 00s.

Go and listen to Marilyn Manson and have a nice relaxing pint of blood.

Haha true. That introduced me to Mikill Pane.

I like some indie rock don't get me wrong, the first 2 monkeys albums are hard 5/5's, you know I'm a fan of Catfish and there's a bunch of other indie bands I dig, just so much of it isn't great.

I'm currently listening to Dream Theater, here a song to check out.

I’m old enough to remember when there were fashions and movements behind the music. Glam rock being replaced by punk, which gave way to mod and ska revivals followed by New Romantics, and all in the space of a decade. What a time to be alive..

If I was asked to comment on today’s music I know for certain I’d sound like my dad when I asked him if we could watch Top Of The Pops because I knew the Pistols were going to be on, and him frowning and muttering “bloody rubbish” under his breath..

I just listen to anything I like tbh.

Whether its Danzig, Iron Maiden, Dylan, Eurythmics, Public Enemy, Oasis, The Kinks or 80's pop, Brit Pop, 50's Rock n' Roll, Metal, Hip Hop, etc.

Only ****ers I hate are Pulp but that's an irrational hatred tbf

Which is the proper way to go about it, there's not a single genre of music that I don't listen to, I just think that mainstream music is in a bad way right now. The only mainstream stuff right now that I think is doing a good job is Pharrel Williams and Post Malone (even if his stuff isn't really my thing)

That’s like me, I listen to so much music across so many genres and decades etc.

And I also hate Pulp as stated in another thread.

    Soulmates? I think so

Heard much worse but it's not for me. I know it's not in your face metal and is probably classed as progressive but I cant do metal at all, even the classics like Metallica

Anything heavier than Royal Blood I struggle to enjoy

Yeah it's prog, and that's fair, not even Maiden or Sabbath?

Royal Blood are decently heavy at times tho tbf. Can you stomach classic rock?

A little bit of Sabbath. I like Motorhead too. I'm fact im sat in a Motorhead T as we speak haha.

Depends what you class as classic rock. Love Kinks, Pink Floyd, Clash, The Who, Tom Petty. Can't tolerate cheesey classic rock like whitesnake and particularly Bon f'in Jovi who are probably my most disliked artist ever.
