Nah, you can never say never with Sporting but they're running away with it. On top of the points gap they're just the best footballing side this season by a clear margin.

I still say the game Vs Porto on the 27th is the big one though, avoid losing in that and they're safe IMO.

Yeah I’m not laying the marker down and saying we’re definitely going to win just yet, but to go ten points clear would be absolutely huge. Last weeks win really showed what this team are made of and it’s an incredible position to be in that we could lose to both Porto and benfica and still have a points advantage

If Sporting survives Paços de Ferreira and FC Porto, then yeah, champions for sure. But these are 2 games where Sporting could drop points.

Benfica fired one of the members of JJs technical staff for providing tactical info to Sporting before de derby.
This is too much drama for my head :P

On Benfica... Darwin doesn't look very good does he? Luca Waldschmidt came on and did more in 10 mins than he managed in the whole game. Pizzi equally as bad.

don't think so, it's something hard to prove if Sporting poached for the info or if he did it on his free will.

Covid really did a number on Darwin, he came back and he's not the same player I saw at the start of the season. I don't get what people see in Pizzi, sure, he scores a lot more goals for a midfielder but without the ball he is non-existent. Also, he's a poor decision maker during the build up play. His only quality is his final third influence.

    10 points clear :thumb

Funny how these claims of poaching info and potential points deductions for playing Palhinha are coming about now

I noticed FC Famalicão are bottom having come 6th last year.

Great when first promoted but been found out...

Had a lot of loans last year, sold a few key players in the summer and the replacements haven't been anywhere near as good. Had to build a whole new team basically and as they're basically just a Mendes dumping ground it's ended up just being a bit of a mess. Sometimes you get a few gems playing that game, sometimes you get a load of shite.

2-0 up at half time and looking good!

Hoping that Porto stay in Europe as they might be inclined to rest players in the league games. It would be good for Portugal’s coefficient if they stay in the champions league too

This season just gets crazier and crazier, I have to keep pinching myself!

Benfica with another draw. I can’t believe we’re 20 games in and we are 15 points clear of them!

Good to see Farense get a point. It’s incredibly tight down at the bottom with 9th-18th all separated by 5 points. I’m really happy for Ryan Gauld. He took the plunge and dropped down to the second division, settled himself and now finds himself playing really well in the primeira liga. He’ll get a move in the summer and should find himself in contention for Scotland in 12 months time

Farense a little bit unlucky with the marginal offside call as well. Could've been 3 points.

When someone asks me why I'm in favor of euthanasia. I point at Benfica. "This is why!"

In all seriousness, I hope Sporting gets this most deserved title win. After that we can poach Amorim of your backs

Apparently when we let Pote go (stupid, stupid, stupid) we inserted a 20% sell on clause for his next 2 moves so we'll still be due a fee if he moves on from Sporting (not that I think he will any time soon).

Small conciliation really, we should've just kept him. Imagine Pote on the right and Neto on the left.
