We’re a really poor side.
Need 6 new players, absolute minimum.
Proper spanking for you lot today.
Beat QPR 1-0 but they were pretty unlucky not to score .
No surprise mate, we’re shit and going down.
Lost 1-2 to Leicester and managed to miss yet another penalty.

See Shawcross broke his leg too.
It looks like his ankle. They're still waiting to hear if it's a clean break or the ligaments. Either way it wouldn't surprise me if he's out for the season. It's a shame as he's looked in good shape over the summer. The only positive (if you can call it that) is well-stocked with centre-halves and it'll open the door for Liam Lindsay or Nathan Collins.
From the clip I’ve seen it looks as if his ankle has definitely snapped. Always horrible to see.
How you get on against Palace that we beat 1-0 Josh mate?
Don’t worry, you’re not the only club that does that.
Hull City this season announced in April that we would play in Marbella. Our supporters only found out we were playing Leyton Orient when Orient announced it on their twitter. So I booked flights thinking we’d only be out there for one game. About 6 days before we flew out for pre season, they announced a 2nd friendly in Marbella. Meaning there was about 10 supporters out there for the 2nd game.
A couple of seasons ago the club said we’d be playing in Portugal. A week before the first friendly, the club advised supporters not to travel, 2 days before the club said that supporters should travel
Our pre season friendlies
Hull city vs Leyton Orient (in Marbella) 2-2
Hull city vs Lincoln red imps (in Marbella) 2-1
Mansfield vs Hull City 2-2
Hull City vs Amiens 0-2
Doncaster vs Hull City 2-2
From them results; I think we’re in for a lot of high scoring, entertaining games. We seem to be able to score, but we also concede a load too.
Yeah, you definitely need massive improvements. Hope you get them because I’d hate to see you go back down.
Decent preseason, won all 6 games, including today’s home game vs Champions League team Atalanta.
Did Wilmott play?
Yes, but he came on for last 10 minutes and had maybe 3-4 contacts with the ball. Looks promising though
Thanks for Potter. Starting to see good signs now
Beat Nice 1-0.
Reminded me of games in our last promotion season. Frustrating at times as we go direct quickly, often lose the ball playing ambitious passes and then don’t get the ball back for long periods from teams who like to keep it.
When we had the ball in the final 3rd we looked a threat though, created most of the best chances in the game overall and could easily have won by 2 or 3 in the end.
We need to get a striker in. A bonus was that Tomlin looked lively. Would be like a new signing if we could get him firing this season.
If this was the other forum, any mention of the Score would be removed and posts deleted
Aren't pre-season matches nothing more than fitness games initially, with positional and tactical stuff coming later? That's me trying to put all this pre-season caper into some sort of perspective.
Basically, it's for the players and coaches really and not so much for us spectators. Am I right?
Yeh, best no to read too much into them either way.
We lost to Forest Green, who were a non-league side at the time, in a warm-up game during the season we were automatically promoted from The Championsip
Good point but the media hype it all up -particularly for the top Premier league clubs.
I did notice quite a few Championship clubs did take a bit of a hammering from Premier league sides though.
