Not defending the pitch as it isn't great, but didn't he get injured in a tackle? From memory it didn't seem to be anything to do with the pitch, could be wrong though?

I thought he slipped before going in for the tackle.

I'd not seen it since the night so that could be the case, but thought at the time he went off due to contact so surprised it's so bad.

Another injury now for Leicester with Maddison out for a few weeks. Think we’ve been hit as hard as Liverpool have this
season but we won’t go on about it.

Strange we're not hearing Its the "clubs managers fault" or "training" for other sides injuries innit when its not Klopp/Liverpool? ;)

Seriously though, it really has been a bad season for injuries across the board, strange really considering I've seen more games played at a friendly pace rather the cut and thrust we usually see in the Premier League. Must be the lack of a proper pre season? Perhaps the fact players, like us all, have become a lot more inactive in general life away from the field/training ground?

You may have had as many injuries, but with us its more the positional thing and length of injuries, I'd rather have injuries scattered around i.e several defenders, midfielders, attackers. etc...with us its been the CBs all ruled out for the season, not weeks, the season....then one of the CM's covering for these three now out for the season and the other CM covering also missed the last few games. Then other 2/3/4 month injuries to the likes of Thiago, Jota, Keita, Ox, etc.

Pre season combined with a tight schedule. In your case, Klopp's run them into the ground style probably just adds to the injuries. He usually gets away with it because you don't take the cups seriously, so have gaps in the schedule. But even without the cups, the schedule feels full.

Or perhaps not seeing as though every team is getting them.

Alisson hurt his shoulder in training collision which kept him in and out.
Van Dijk injury was a compact injury as you know
As was Matips, kick on the ankle I seem to remember?
    Gomez injured on international duty
Jota's was a knee injury via a tackle
Thiago was from a shocking tackle
Keita is just injury prone as is Ox both have bad injury records all their career, long before they signed for us.
Henderson, Fabinho and Milner are probably wear and tear due to having no choice but to play, plus their style of play is what will get them a few injuries a season.

So apart from maybe overplaying Fabinho and Henderson but having absolutely no choice due to injuries elsewhere, I cant see what ones can be blamed on "Klopp running them into the ground"

Perhaps some of them were overworked to the point that knocks they could usually brush off had a bigger impact than they usually would.

When your muscles and joints are overused, they become weaker, and thus are more susceptible to injuries. Some of those knocks that caused injuries may have been brushed off had the players had proper rest between games. Van Dijk's was just a terrible tackle, and nothing could be done ahout it, but as youbsay, allnteams arevgetting more injuries, and it's probably because their bodies aren't healing enough between games, so little knocks have bigger impacts.

Probably because the media always go on about Liverpool’s injury crisis and not ours

It's the lack of recovery they can do.
