top 3 identical to SLs. some players are hard to do because theyv'e either been injured or haven't played much. ade certainly didn't help his cause getting that red. i'm thought dembele was fantastic at fulham long before he even came here (remember that outrageous goal against us in the FA cup January 2011?) and outside of Spurs fans i think kaboul is actually hugely under-rated in the media.

    1) Gareth Bale
    2) Moussa Dembele (Absolute class act. maybe the best dribbler in prem?)
    3) Jan Vertonghen
    4) Scott Parker (B.O.D here. remember our POTY last season)
    5) Younes Kaboul (again B.O.D)
    6) Aaron Lennon
    7) Hugo Lloris
    8) Brad Friedel (2 mistakes in 15 months say it all)
    9) Sandro (Occasionally hes really poor so i won't put him as high as SL)
    9) Jermain Defoe (on fire this season)
    11) Michael Dawson (Most under-rated English CB around)
    12) Benoit Assou-Ekotto
    13) Kyle Walker (Taken a slight drop for me)
    14) Emmanuel Adebayor (Not played much this season)
    15) Steven Caulker (Potential to rise)
    16) Tom Huddlestone
    17) William Gallas
    18) Kyle Naughton (like SL would like to see more of him at RB to form a better opinion)
    19) Tom Carroll (a lot of potential to be higher)
    20) Clint Dempsey (Disappointing but some nice moments recently)
    21) Gylfi Sigurdsson (Disappointing. lovely assist on saturday though)
    22) Andros Townsend (See falque)
    23) Iago Falque (seems decent, need to see more though to form a better opinion)
    24) Jake Livermore
    24) Carlo Cudicini
    24) Heurelho Gomes

    Bump!

10 - 15 was really hard to decide and really they could go in any order. Once I got below about 20, I was just putting down names in a rough order.

    1. Gareth Bale
    2. Hugo Lloris
    3. Jan Vertonghen
    4. Moussa Dembele
    5. Sandro
    6. Aaron Lennon
    7. Kyle Walker
    8. Younes Kaboul (sure he’d be higher if he wasn’t out all season)
    9. Lewis Holtby (good early signs, but too early to go any higher)
    10. Benoit Assou-Ekotto
    11. Gylfi Sigurdsson
    12. Jermain Defoe
    13. Michael Dawson
    14. Clint Dempsey
    15. Emmanuel Adebayor
    16. Brad Friedel
    17. Scott Parker
    18. Andros Townsend
    19. Steven Caulker
    20. Danny Rose
    21. Tom Carroll
    22. Alex Pritchard
    23. Kyle Naughton
    24. Jake Livermore
    25. William Gallas
    26. David Bentley
    27. Heurelho Gomes

Youths (some have also gone in the list above. Ranked by potential rather than just current ability):

    1. Tom Carroll
    2. Alex Pritchard
    3. Massimo Luongo
    4. Christian Ceballos
    5. Nabil Bentaleb
    6. Shaquille Coulthirst
    7. Kenny McEvoy
    8. Milos Veljkovic
    9. Iago Falque
    10. Jon Obika
    11. Harry Kane
    12. Souleymane Coulibaly
    13. Jordan Archer
    14. Ezequiel Fryers
    15. Grant Hall
    16. Ryan Fredericks
    17. Lawrence Vigeroux
    18. Jack Barthram (I’ve heard he’s going to be released)

I've missed on plenty of names from the youth list. Even those at the bottom are amongst the best. Looking through that list, I really hope at least 2 or 3 of those can have a real first team career here at Spurs. The top 10 or so can all be top players.

dempsey, adebayor & siggy ahead of parker? BEEEHAVE!!! i swear it's become fashionable to have a dig at parker this season. see so many spurs fans doing it and i don't get it personally.
-too many games where lloris has little to do for me to put him as high as 2nd whilst dembele is usually always class & makes our team tick.
    - wheres huddlestone??

    anyway....

    1. Gareth Bale
    2. Moussa Dembele
    3. Jan Vertonghen
    4. Hugo Lloris
    5. Aaron Lennon
    6. Michael Dawson
    7. Sandro
    8. Younes Kaboul (like SL he’d be higher if he wasn’t out all season)
    9. Jermain Defoe
    10. Lewis Holtby (wud probably be higher if i saw more of him)
    11. Brad Friedel (still a top keeper)
    12. Tom Huddlestone (quality player)
    13. Benoit Assou-Ekotto
    14. Kyle Walker (regressed this season)
    15. Scott Parker
    16. Gylfi Sigurdsson (poor 1st half, improved greatly in 2nd half of season)
    17. Andros Townsend
    18. Emmanuel Adebayor
    19. Clint Dempsey
    20. Steven Caulker (potential)
    21. Danny Rose (potential)
    22. Tom Carroll (potential)
    23. William Gallas
    24. Kyle Naughton
    25. Heurelho Gomes
    26. Jake Livermore
    27. David Bentley

Due to some of the discussions going on in the Spurs forum at the moment, I figured it would be a good time to refresh this beauty.
My Rankings are based on current form...

    1. Lloris
    2. Adebayor
    3. Vertonghen
    4. Sandro
    5. Walker
    6. Dembele
    7. Eriksen
    8. Dawson
    9. Chiriches
    10. Paulinho
    11. Rose
    12. Freidel
    13. Soldado
    14. Sigurdsson
    15. Capoue
    16. Lennon
    17. Townsend
    18. Naughton
    19. Bentaleb
    20. Chadli
    21. Fryers
    22. Lamela
    23. Kane
    24. Kaboul

I found this quite difficult. I went for Lloris as number 1. He is one of the few players that is guaranteed to start. And bar a few moments he has been brilliant. I believe he saved us many points in the 1st half of the season as we toyed with the high-line.

Adebayor is at number 2. Painful as it is to except, our season rests on him. I don't like him, I don't want him here. But needs must.

Kaboul is last on my list purely due to him not playing any football.

To be honest, everyone on my list from Naughton onwards have made hardly any contribution to this season. That is maybe being harsh on Bentaleb, but he is as far as I am concerned in the team as a showcase for Sherwood's work with the youth setup.

Lamela could easily have been number 18 on my list...

    1. Lloris
    2. Adebayor (only because he is a good run but I still think he is going to flop soon...again)
    3. Sandro
    4. Eriksen
    5. Vertonghen
    6. Lamela (I know he isn't on form but I think he has got the potential to be WC)
    7. Walker
    8. Dembele
    9. Dawson
    10. Paulinho
    11. Sigurdsson
    12. Soldado
    13. Chiriches
    14. Townsend
    15. Rose
    16. Freidel
    17. Lennon
    18. Capoue
    19. Kaboul
    20. Bentaleb
    21. Chadli
    22. Naughton
    23. Kane
    24. Fryers

If Holtby wasn't on loan I would put him at 6. I think he is a great player who has got a lot of potential, probably my favourite player to watch at Spurs.

That's My opinion too. Looks like he's trying to make some sort of Guardiola style statement or it's possibly a dig at AVB (may of been a player he recommended and AVB rejected). Either way, I don't think he should be starting so much.

Newcastle are very poor at the moment. Lot of key players out and no strength in depth. I remember Spurs fans getting carried away after beating a weak Newcastle team before.

honestly don't know now. but i'm sorry no way Is sandro our best player. great tackler but too poor technically for my liking to be our best player. sometimes hes amazing but sometimes hes horrific IMO. I wouldn't even put sandro in the top 10 personally.

    1) Lloris
    1) dembele
    3) vertonghen
    4) Adebayor (only now- in 6 months he'll be down to 20th probably)
    5) Eriksen (I think he'll be world class in a few years)
    6) Kaboul
    7) Townsend
    8) Soldado (Theres still a class player locked away in there IMO)
    9) Dawson - This is a huge B.O.D vote
    10) Friedel - still a class keeper IMO
    11) Lennon - never became the great player he could have become but still love him
    12) Paulinho - a tad over-rated IMO but still like him.
    13) Bentableb- loving this guy. great potential to move higher
    14) Capoue - I prefer him to sandro personally
    15) walker- gone downhill big IMO
    16) sandro- I personally think hes over-rated. technically hes horrific.
    17) Sigurdsson- bar goals he does jack shit
    18) rose - personally I like rose
    19) Chiriches (don't rate him as much as most do. hugely over-rated)
    20) Chadli
    21) Naughton
    *Kane ????????????????
    *Fryers???????????????
    *lamela?????????????????
*Carroll- love carroll- honestly think he'd be as good as bentaleb if he had a consistent run.

I was agreeing with you until you said not in the top 10. He's a superb DM. Not amazing technically as you say, but for an out and out DM, he's good enough. Top 5 IMO.

mate the feeling I get on here and every single spurs fan in my real life is that sandro is some kinda world class DM. don't get me wrong I like him but I do think people over-rate him slightly.

theres many games where he is a beast and amazing but he has his fair share of stinkers IMO. his touch is very poor personally and very un-Brazilian. occasionally he has these games where he constantly gives the ball away and personally that sticks in my mind. i guess i place a very high degree of technique in how i judge players- more so than the average English person.

If history repeats itself beating that shit Newcastle team was a result that contributed to us finishing 4th :shrug

We've also beaten weak Southampton, Manchester United, Everton and Swansea sides under Sherwood so luck is clearly on our side. One good side in ten games (Man City). Fingers crossed that continues over the next 12.

I didn't say anything about your other results. It was purely the reaction of the "great performance" against a team who's scored 4 goals in their last 9 games (with 3 of those coming in one game). Congratulations.
