    Brilliant.

It's nice to see Employers rewarding staff.

I fought long and hard for the lower pay bracket at where I work to get an increase and won the battle. Always satisfying to see Bonuses getting paid.

It's called being middle aged - I found myself looking forward for too much to trying a steam cleaner I'd purchased for the wooden floors

One of the unmistakable signs of middle age - getting excited about power tools.

The weather, I just feel mentally better when it’s warm and sunny. Like a load has been taken off, it’s wonderful.

I’m the exact opposite, I struggle with the heat and I love the Winter when it gets dark and it’s wet and cold.
It’s chucking it down in Grimsby today and I’m loving it. :)

My shift this week would’ve been Fri Sat Sun Mon but I booked it as holiday months ago as it’s my Wife’s Birthday tomorrow, not even knowing that it also coincided with England v Scotland tomorrow.
    Win win.

It is very true though, the music I listened to growing up in the 80’s and 90’s is chalk and cheese compared to the absolute crap mostly on the radio nowadays.
My kids and wife all listen to Capital FM but for me it’s always Smooth London.

At the end of the month I get to move out of my current place of residence which I f*cking hate. It’s a HMO where I rent a bedroom and share a kitchen/bathroom with 4 other people.Living there has absolutely destroyed my mental health and I’ve actually ended up living there 3/4 nights a week because I can’t bare going back there most of the time.

    - The people I live with are absolute slobs. I come back from 3 days staying away to the bins overflowing, the recycling on the fridge touching the ceiling, bin bags dumped in the recycling bin or ripped bin bags all over the front garden. Highlight was a sink full of vomit for nearly a full day earlier this week.

    - Constant slamming f*cking doors 24/7. Having the room by the front door hasn’t helped but all the doors are fire doors so someone with no consideration going for a piss is enough. Can’t remember the last night there where I wasn’t woken up at least once. It’s normally 3 or 4 times a night.

    - Stuff always being broken, shower doesn’t drain properly, washing machine has broken down half a dozen times. Getting home and finding something else doesn’t work is exhausting

    - My room being so close to the pavement/road that I have to choose between curtains closed or feeling like an exhibit in a zoo. So I never get any natural sunlight at home.

    - Safety latch on my window means it opens about 4 inches. Nightmare when it’s hot, especially with the curtain situation.

    - Some f*cking clown throwing my towel on the floor after they use the f*cking shower.

Notice is in, room is nearly clear and I’ll be in my new place by the 5th July. As well as not being full of all those problems it’s much nearer my work so I’ll save £100 a month on transport. I’ll be living in a 3 bed house with a huge garden and a tonne of modcons. I’ll be living with one bloke, rather than the 4 I live with now. He’s a huge football fan and he picked me out 5 other people to move in as he thinks we’ll get on really well. He’s away so Mon-Fri so I get the place to myself throughout the week and he’s already told me he’s happy for me to have mates round when he’s not there as long as we don’t burn the place down. The best bit? It’s the same price a month! Really landed on my feet and I can’t bloody wait to move

Sounds like moving into a cardboard box under the nearest bridge would’ve been an improvement.
