We've had posters on here in their 80s mate so i'm not the oldest.
Really?!! Wow, that's amazing.
It's really good knowing many posters from a different generation post on forums. It's fantastic.
Compared to some of us old 'uns Mowgli is just the kid in Jungle Book, a kid that gets stoned and listens to Floyd a lot, but a kid just the same..
Happy birthday Mowgli
Happy Birthday Mowgs, hope you enjoyed the weed, booze and Pink Floyd
I think he wants stories from the olden days
FF has been around for more than 20 years I was in my early 30's when I joined (I was very slow to join here after the previous home for football fans sports.com was sold on - Stret was here long before I joined) I'm 50 on my next birthday
I was on the BBC Boxing Forum going back to 2001 and then when that got closed down a member created an actual Boxing Forum. It's still going now but I'm on here more as the regulars slowly drifted away due to personal situations etc. Think the oldest one on there is in his 50's, top bloke too.
I've tried to get some of the members to jump to here as it's active etc.
Happy belated birthday fella.
Have sent a card with money in it but if you dont get it then blame the thieving postman
This is a theme at Royal Mail. 2 parcels have turned up empty in the last 1 week and half.
I do like the service with BUPA
Private room to wait in with a TV, Wifi and an ensuite while I waited for the procedure on my back yesterday.
A nice meal afterwards and then escorted down to Gareth waiting in the car (to check I wasn't driving home after sedation)
I couldn't feel my arse for a couple of hours after but apart from that the base of my spine feels less 'crushed' - hopefully it lasts for a long time
Booster jab booked, been to gigs, feel like life is getting back on track.
As much as I love autumn the bloody leaves that fall do make a hell of a mess. Was on a mission this morning to rake them all up in the huge back garden we have, took over an hour to get them all up. Be plenty more leaves to fall yet so will be keeping on top of things until the trees in the garden are bare. These trendy leaf blower things are for lazy arses, sense of achievement working hard to get a job done.
My wife gets a new iphone every couple of years from her company and I always get her hand-me downs, something that hasn't bothered me as the first one I got still works fine, but yesterday I thought feck it and bought a brand spanker. Set me back a few bob and it's not the latest model but compared the 7S it's so much better..
Always something joyful about getting a new phone. Don't know why though.
Man, I'm getting old!!
Remember getting a Nokia back in the day and being chuffed getting an SMS message. Oh the days of a message with 160 characters which included spaces between words and that iconic beep.
Oh man!! Nokia was the Don!! 160 characters, flipping heck now we're going back.
And no camera, music, calendar, apps and loads of other things we can do.
Battery lasted like a week to 2 weeks too.
Do you remember when if you wanted a ringtone like say a song you had to call this number and enter the code they gave you, the company had ads on the back page of various magazines. Was something like 3 quid a ringtone.
