I reckon both will be fine, although if Sigurdsson's leaving Swansea would do well to get a move on. They don't have much time left to spend the money he'll generate.

Honestly, any team 8th place down could be relegated.

Look at last season, wasn't there something stupid like 6 points between 9th and 16th at one point?

We've got an extremely tough start to the season so I expect we'll feature heavily in this thread for the first couple of months at least.

Our summer window is slowly starting to come together after a painfully slow start, hopefully we can bring a couple more in before the end of the month and we might have a chance of having a reasonable season. We're looking relatively strong in defence with Indi signing permanently today to go with Zouma, Shawcross and Butland in goal. The big question is whether we will score enough goals. Can we get a tune out of Berahino now he's had a full pre season and will we sign anyone else in case he doesn't come off? Can we keep Shaqiri fit etc.

    37 points to go

Bournemouth could struggle based on today, pass pass but no threat at all

We will be fine, we've had worse results to start the season and we've always struggled against teams with a 'style' like West Brom. Bring on Watford and the inevitable draw.

I wonder if we are stil
When we beat Newcastle away last year, some of they fans thought it was doom and gloom, losing to little old Huddersfield, and they won the league!

What goes around comes around Palace, i once said to somebody "Have you ever heard of Karma?", i then had a idiotic reply of "who's he?" with me saying "No, it means when you treat people like shit for a long time, or talk about them in the way you have been, something soon happens to you as a way of biting you on the arse!!!".

Happened to Place yesterday be careful what you say. Karma's a bitch.

As for my team, yesterday proved a huge learning curve, but i'm loving it. The City fans on the train heading to Lewes afters all said to us, this is the way football should be like; none of this fighting. The football's finally back after weeks of pathetic pre-season nonsense.

I personally think it will be one of Brighton, Burnley, palace, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, West Brom, stoke and Swansea. If I was pushed to pick 3 it would probably be palace, Swansea and 1 of the newly promoted sides

What on earth is that all about mush..?? Genuinely can't make head nor tail of it.

If karma was an actual thing it might have allowed us, for once, to get a positive result against Huddersfield. But alas we were kicked in the bollocks again, half our own fault and half some fantastic attacking play and some staunch defending from the Terriers.

Fair play to them, they'll give most teams a good game with that attitude.

As for us, far too early to say how the season is going to go, one way or the other. Plenty of warning signs but Loftus-Cheek and Fosu-Mensah looked good and we're still expecting to bring in a couple of players. So we'll have a better picture in a couple of months.

I might change who I support, just because the term "Brighton fan on FF" is basically a synonym for "blithering retard" at this point.

I think de boar may regret changing the teams style of play over night! When Hughes came in to stoke he appeared to make a more gradual change which seemed to work really well. I hope you bring a couple more players in that fits de boars system because I fear for you guys otherwise. You looked poor yesterday at the back but you're finishing was woeful.

The fact is it's so amusing to see you so on the defensive so early after being so dismissive of others chances or vulnerabilities......:pointlaugh
