alan smith, john radford, are higher in all-time stakes than he is.
Who cares about being an Arsenal legend when you've scored one of the best goals in WC history, anyway?
Love this guy.
Why, because he left to better himself?
More the fact we stood by him through all the injuries and he buggers off after one full fit quality season. We showed loyalty to him, he didn't repay it. Such is life. Still one of the best individual seasons I've ever seen at Arsenal in 2011/12.
I can understand that, but he wanted to win things as does every professional footballer. You can't stay at a club because they've supported you through injury and end your career with just an FA Cup medal from a decade ago to your name
We get that. Doesn't mean we have to like it. And it would be a lot easier to like if he'd given us another 7 top quality injury free seasons to go with the one quality season he did give us. But he didn't.
In hindsight would Rvp of stayed at Arsenal.
Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud and Ozil all signed in the summer he left and he could well of been a Arsenal player today if he stayed for another year or so. He certainly wouldn't be rotting away in Turkey if he did stay there.
He basically sold his legacy for just 1 title.
Tbf nowadays when I think of RVP I think of him scoring worldies and winning the league for Man United. Barely remember him doing anything for Arsenal.
This is the better goal
Forgot about that goal.
I would bet good money that he last of all cares about being an "Arsenal Legend"
RVP was a winner.
AFC fans, manager & players have a loser mindset and deserve each other, you didn't deserve RVP!
