New Zealand will probably end up winning .

England seem to dip out since 2003 and the likes of Wales/Ireland have a hard luck story .

New Zealand yet again will take the trophy. Would love to be proved wrong though.

Id have them as favourites but not by much. This could be the most open World Cup in years. Us, you’s, S Africa and NZ could win it. Maybe not Ireland after yesterday lol. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Japan have a really good tournament as well

Just seen the groups. They’re all pretty tough but I’m not keen on England’s

Off to Japan for this in a few days, looking forward to it.

Not reading too much in to the warm up matches, thought we were hard done by a poor referee in Dublin but it's doesn't really matter, it's all about Japan.

I'm actually more confident about England's chances after the warm up matches

Wow should be some experience that mate. Have a good one!

On a side note has there been any talk about how ticket sales have gone for this?

I'm pretty sure all the games have sold out, Japan are mad into it and there's only tout sites selling tickets for the games I'm out there for.

The Southern Hemisphere are taking huge numbers there as well I believe, expecting it to be full of Aussies and Kiwis.

I didn't realise rugby was so big over there. And yeah I'd guessed a number of Aussies and Kiwis would travel......can't think of much worse than being stuck amongst hoards of Aussies (especially if they win it)

Even more so after the Ashes!

    Enjoy the trip C49..

Great expectations for England - surely cannot be any worse than the last 2 world cups and I see no reason why it should be.

It would be lovely to see Fiji goes beyond the group stage. I think they have a lot of potential in the future. I'm already in love with their rugby 7s and its about time they focus on the 15s

Fiji and Tonga should be right up there in the full game but ourselves and New Zealand keep nicking their talent. It’s bang out of order. We shouldn’t be allowed to do it

Luckily they won’t win it. I think England, Wales, Ireland, South Africa and New Zealand all have a decent chance. I’ll include Japan in that as well. Home advantage and they are far better than most think
I’d still pick NZ if I had to make a choice

Not sure about Ireland. I think they've had the best out of their current crop and will be heading into a period of transition.

Personally I wouldn’t completely write them off, though I do tend to agree. This World Cup seems way more open than the last 2. They just beat wales as well, who can beat anyone on their day (except the Aussies it seems?). I’d have NZ favourites. England, Wales and s Africa contenders, and japan and Ireland outsiders but who can still win the thing

    Proper looking forward to this

I think the only way for fiji and tonga to improve and be able to compete against the big team is to register a club to join Super Rugby if its possible

We beat Australia the last time we played them.

I'd tend to agree with that, although I can't see Japan winning it I think they're likely to beat Scotland and make the quarters and could possibly the semis.

Ah sorry dude, I obviously missed that 1. It’s about time you hear them, you’ve been better than them for a good while now

I don’t think Japan will win it but home advantage and climate can make a big difference. I wouldn’t be that surprised to see then in the quarters or semis either
