I'm not surprised you missed it, it was a fairly uneventful 9-6 home win during our winning streak. This was before Folau's fallout though, and I really do fancy us against them in the group stages.

Folau’s going to be a huge miss for the Aussies. He would be for any team. The guys an idiot

All of the groups look pretty difficult tbf. Just shows that the standard in the game is increasing

Over 15,000 Japanese fans turned up for an open training session for Wales in Kitakyushu. Superb stuff, there's so much passion about them hosting this.

To be fair nowadays it's just a tablet a day condition and they can lead a normal life. The only thing is he's been bullied into revealing this by the press when he shouldn't have to, they have no right to reveal these kind of details of someone's personal life.

The kick off times are going to be pain. The earliest games are 5.45am and the latest are 11.45am, which isnt too bad but still. Irelands first game against Scotland is at 8.45am on a Sunday. Bit early for the bar

Argentina do always seem to pull it out of the bag at World Cups so could pop France .

Scotland v Japan is the key game in Pool 1.

Mental start to the game, with two tries in 10 minutes. Japan's defence looked shaky, so it will be interesting to see if Russia can get at them again.

If Japan play like that against Scotland, then they'll be second best. Whilst they did some great flashy stuff, they struggled with the basics and made lots of simple errors. They were fortunate that Russia weren't strong enough to capitalise on it.

Great atmosphere in and around Tokyo, looking forward to the games tomorrow and in particular New Zealand and South Africa.

If Scotland and Ireland just kick the ball for position all game they will win comfortably against the Japanese.

Missed the game this morning but sounds like the Russians threw themselves into it without really having too much ability and the Japanese just picked them off when they tired

Just out of curiosity, how come Japan have a sizeable non-Japanese squad? Are they just expats or born there etc?

The rules are flimsy regards nationality in rugby. I think you just have to have played in the league for a certain amount of time. England also have quite a few that really shouldn’t qualify. I’ve no issue with it though
