Huge dissapointed with not only the result, but our performance against Ipswich. For that reason im expecting a strong showing against barnnsley and a 3-0 win. We need to stop messing around and dropping points at home.

Must-win. 1-0, like Bristol Rovers last season.

    I have no clue.

Will we show up and play with our hearts on our sleevs, or do we roll and stand there while Saints bag 5 or 6?

    5-0 Saints.

Well its a coupon-buster if you madly choose to back Barnsley.

4-0 Saints. Our team has fallen apart with midfield injuries and we only have 1 player left that knows where the net is.

Medal/straitjacket for any Tarn fan making the long and expensive trip to Southampton. I'm sure Keith appreciates it despite his many comments to the contrary.

In our last 8 league games weve won 6, drawn 2 and collected 6 cleen sheets! Thats promotion form but if the hammers and reading win the game in hand they have then f**k me its tight. We'll all be on 69 points but we have an awesome gd.

The game today? Well the first half we were void of any ideas. Guly played miles better when put upfront. Lee is brilliant and lallana, take a bow son. Great win roll on millwall whose home form hasnt been great. Coys.

    Happysaint is back. :)

After a slow start we gradually took control and after Lallana's well taken goal there was no looking back. Some of our football in the 2nd half was sumptious.

Tadanari Lee was outstanding again today, what a buy he is and rightly keeping Billy on the bench. But Lallana truly is Premiership class in waiting.

But we have to cope with some tricky away games now and with WHU, Reading and Boro close on our heels we are going to need to be at the top of our game to keep it going.

I will be gutted if we don't get top 2 now.

I thought Barnsley were the better team the first half and goal went against run of play. I was bored shitless first half but the second half was much better Lallana is brilliant and I thought Fox had a great game. Up until Guly moved up front I had no idea what position he was supposed to be playing in all over the place and not in a good way.

    Predictable result.

Saints fans, congrats. Could you give us an assessment of our youngsters that came on? #32 (Danny Rose, attacker) and #33 (Paul Digby, midfielder.) Only thing I'm really interested in at the moment.

Sorry, I can't. The only Barnsley players that caught the eye were Nouble and Cotteril in the first half for their workrate. Second half we were stringing 20 (harmless) passes together on a regular basis and it was rare to see a Barnsley player on the ball.

Was exactly the same against ipswich. He left the right side completely exposed which I think is why richardson had such a poor game and why ipswich decided to try the other side when de ridder came on.

P.S. Welcome back HS I hope all is well mate.

I reckon we were playing a three man centre midfield with Guly in front of Hammond, in front of Morgan.

Morgan was virtually a centre back in the first half.

This, I wish the season was over next week! sounds like we competed for the first half at least and were probably unlucky to be behind at the break. Southampton look like the potential champions to me and possess quality in depth that the likes of us do not have, and it seems our options squad wise are dwindling by the game.
I look forward to what Hill and Flitcroft can mould us into in time.....and I'm happy with the direction we are going long term....but our traditional early beach party is getting to be a bore now.
Difficult for them with the injuries etc and although I feel we are pretty safe now it would be nice to get a few more points on the board......but it's getting difficult and Keith's ethos at the moment in making it hard for the other side to play isn't panning out as we seem to always drop crucial clangers at the wrong time and we are being punished.

Hopefully now it's get a few points on the board somehow then blood some youngsters in with the newer signings ready for next season.....hopefully!

    just got back.

not the best of games but 3 points is 3 points.

barnsley looked good 1st half, then we took control of the game for the second 45. lost 20 squid on bets today

£5 both ways on lambert 1'st or last, & £10 on 3-0 doh!
