    GK: Jordan Pickford - The England no.1 was the rock in Everton's defense that conceded the least amount of goals among all non-top-4 teams.

    LB: Jordi Alba - The best LB in the world for most of last season, until he was overtaken by some random Scotsman. Still, with his unmatched offensive prowess, recording more assists than any defender in the La Liga, again, Alba is easily one of the top 2-3 LBs in the world last year.

    CB: Willi Orban - The captain of 3rd-placed RB Leipzig, which recorded the best defensive record in the Bundesliga last year. Is Whoscored.com 9th best player in the Bundesliga in 18/19.

    CB: Virgil Van Dijk - The leader of our defense. To some, the best player in the world, this season. At worst, he's a comfortable 2nd best player in the world of this season. One of our two permanent starters.

    RB: Youcef Atal - The 'electrifying' wingback was the best RB in Ligue 1. Whoscored rated him as the 5th best player in the league. An offensive force, he completed more dribbles than any defender in the league, which saw WS rating his 'dribbling' as 'VERY STRONG' while his 'through ball', 'passing', and 'finishing' were all rated as 'strong'. More than just an attacker, his 'defensive contribution' and 'ball interception' were also rated as 'VERY STRONG'. The Nice manager has already warned off suitors that Atal is 'NOT FOR SALE'.

    CM: Saul Niguez - The versatile midfielder had a very strong season, which saw him rated as the 3rd best player at At. Madrid and 12th best player in La Liga, by WS. WS rates his 'Defensive Contribution' as 'VERY STRONG' and his 'aerial duels', 'finishing', and 'tackling' as 'Strong.

    CM: Kerem Demirbay
    - Demirbay was an absolute revelation this year. He was by far Hoffenheim's best player, and was rated as the 3rd best player in the Bundesliga. He was the Bundesliga's runaway leader in Key Passes, but was also a strong dribbler and a hardworking defensive player. Leverkusen has since signed him for 32M.

    LW: Hirving Lozano - Another highly productive season for the athletic wide forward, with 21 goals and 10 assists in all comps. The 5th best player in the Netherlands, WS rates his 'crossing' and 'finishing' as 'VERY STRONG. His 'key pass' and 'dribbling' are also rated as 'strong.

    AM: Lionel Messi - What is there to say? The best player in the world, by a country mile in my mind. One of our two permanent players.

    RW: Nicolas Pepe - Established himself as one of the best wide forwards in Europe this year with 22 goals and 11 assists, he's already being linked with the biggest clubs in Europe. He led Ligue 1 in MotMs, at 13.

    ST: Sebastien Haller - With so many goals coming from our attacking midfielder trio, the target-man Haller provides the perfect platform for them to excel. WS rates his 'Key Passes' and 'Through Balls' as 'Strong', and notes that he likes to do flick-ons and layoffs. With 20 goals and 12 assists in all comps, he's provides the all-round skillset we need. WS rates him as the 5th best player in the Bundesliga and the highest-rated player in their EL best XI.

    Manuel Neuer: He returned after big injury and won the BL with 11 clean sheets in 38 games in all competitions.

    Wan Bissaka: One of the best right backs in the world right now, worth over 50m. A wall at the back he made his name as one of the most balanced and excellent defensively full backs in the league. Palace player of the season.

    Alex Sandro: Still one of the top left backs in the world and another world class season winning the Serie A.

    Mats Hummels: another one who won the BL and had a very solid season at Bayern.

    Clement Lenglet: Formed very sound partnership with Pique for Barca winning the league. Both good on the ball and also sniffing out danger.

    N'Golo Kante: Chelsea's most consistent performer and best player after Hazard.

    Frenkie De Jong: Revelation of the season. Reached SF with Ajax in the CL and won the domestic league.

    Roberto Firmino: Although Sane and Salah usually steal the show he is one of the most creative and versatile players around. Can play either wing, striker, SS and his movement is fantastic. 21 goals and 9 assists last season.

    Joao Felix: Another revelation of last season. 20 goals for Benfica, just transferred to Atletico for over 120m EUR. Won bunch of awards last year - Primeira Liga Player of the Month: January 2019, SJPF Young Player of the Month: January 2019, UEFA Europa League Squad of the Season: 2018–19, CNID Best Revelation Footballer of the Year: 2019

    Raheem Sterling: Along with Aguero arguably City's best player, won domestic treble this year. PFA Team of the Year: 2018–19, Premier League PFA Young Player of the Year: 2018–19, FWA Footballer of the Year: 2018–19

    Karim Benzema: Probably the most consistent Real player this year and generated one of the best outputs in terms of goals/assists. Scored 30 goals in all competitions and Trophées UNFP for Best French Player playing Abroad: 2019

    I do envy their midfield in this game, but I don’t feel they have it in their attack to trouble our defence and I don’t think their defence would hinder our attack.

    It's close. Pickford was a bombscare at times though.

    VVD drug Karius to a CL final, he’d make Pickford a serviceable GK.
