Same thing with most laws. You can have 2 people commit similar crimes in similar circumstances and one walks out of court with a suspended sentence and the other is carted off to prison for 2 years.

All boils down to how the 2 different judges interpret the laws and the guidelines in front of them.

On a much lesser scale, we have the same sort of discussion with football referees. They all officiate to the same rule book but each of them interprets it in different ways

The way I see it, the decision boiled down to this. The decision to strip her of her citizenship because she qualifies for Bangladeshi citizenship through her mother doesn't stand up in court because she doesn't currently hold Bangladeshi citizenship and she'd have to apply for it. And Bangladesh have already indicated they'd reject her application which leaves her stateless which isn't allowed. However, if someone's considered a threat to national security the security of the nation trumps an individual's right to a fair hearing so her entry has been denied on that basis. So the argument has been over whether she is considered a threat to national security. I can see why that is very much open to interpretation and has split legal opinion.

Really good decision this. She 100% IS a threat to national security. Whether or not she's crying to come back is irrelevant. If she was granted citizenship and she came back only top spread hate and be directly or indirectly involved in a terror attack then the public would be going absolutely mental.

Don't celebrate just yet, the EU court of justice might overturn it.
    Oh wait, nevermind. Celebrate away.

A sensible decision in a world of madness and liberal do-gooders. I saw a clip of her walking around the camp she's in wearing western clothes yesterday which won't go down well with the fanatics in the camp but she obviously thought she would win her appeal and be allowed to return to The UK.

Don't forget her dyed red hair. Seems Allah can f*ck right off it it means her getting what she wants, that's how much Allah means to her.

Absolute fraud and manipulator. Great decision this and glad a court has had the backbone to refuse her entry with all the liberal do-gooders you mention around shouting human rights breach etc etc.

I haven't heard from Starmer,Lammy and Abbott yet but i think it's safe to say we know what those 3 clowns think about the judges unanimous decision as they are so out of touch with the people in The UK.

Could have let her back in, then tried her for treason.

Why? She would have got a suspended sentence and a council house with benefits as she would be unemployable.

Let's be honest Mowgs, she really wouldn't have. She'd either be locked up or, through some failing in the system, hiding in a foreign embassy like Julian Assange.

The judges in this country are a f*cking joke with the lenient sentences given for murder these days so nothing would surprise me.

Well yes, but let's not fall into the trap of spreading Daily Mail headlines as truth.

Great decision and the best part is it's a final one with no court on the European mainland able to override it.

I very rarely read it mate unless someone leaves it in the pub i only read The Western Daily Press which is a bit left wing but i can put up with it as it does both national and local news.

My bet is she would be re-located under a witness protection scheme and given a new identity, she wouldn't be safe in public without it because she can't be behind bars forever.

Not like they can stick her somewhere with a high density population of middle Eastern or asian people either as there would be a risk of radicalisation once again, either way.

I would have said the same thing about Maxine Carr, she was quite a distinct looking but she's managed to live seemingly off the grid with a new identity though of course there is always a chance these people would be identified.

I guess it doesn't help Shamima Begum has done endless interviews to plead her case but I'm sure there are options available.
