Me and my mate start on 501 but you don’t have to finish on a double. Otherwise we might as well scrap the first 499 points and play who can hit D1 first

Hardly hogging the dartboard when there are only a handful of us there playing. Everyone else is there for the pool and snooker.

So much for fathers passing their skills onto their sons, my father was semi-pro quality at darts, captained several local teams, played in quite a few open tournaments playing several pretty well known pro's....I am absolutely shite at the game

My dad was good at darts, snooker, football, rugby and tennis. I could just about get by in football and tennis, and I was above average at rugby. The other two I fail horribly at.

Darts I'm awful, snooker I'm poor (far better at Pool), football I was average, Rugby can say I've only played once or twice, Tennis I'm shocking.

I was never a good sprinter but I could run forever...that was when I was skinny though. Probably the game I would have excelled at is something I didn't play enough of is Cricket, was pretty ok with both bat and ball. Badminton I was ok too.

Golf, I'm the most inconsistent player on the planet, capable of hitting some absolute sweet shots, closely followed by a horrendous one

I’m better than my Dad at everything. He struggles with that.

I used to - enthusiastic rather than talented is probably a fair assessment of my ability

Playing a man with the same handicap level as myself, I could draw or win pretty evenly despite being female because I could make up in iron play what I lost in the 'twat it down the fairway' stakes ..... usually because I was on the fairway rather than in the rough or the trees down the side

the ladies tee nonsense ..... bit pointless really because I find it's usually more like 5 yards than 50 or 100 :)

(if it was 50 or 100 it would be lovely though :))

Darts i get chuffed if i hit a single twenty as usually end either side of it, snooker absolute w*nk as only played on a full size table five times tops, pool like to think not a bad player

Was never one for sprinting but like you was pretty good at cross country

Crazy golf champion on holiday in Burnham On Sea many many years ago. Shame Tiger Woods was not around to go head to head against.

Am i missing something? Isn't it expected that you would draw most of the time against a man with the same handicap?

Surely the point of the argument would be that Professional male players almost definitely have lower handicaps than their female counterparts, and given that handicaps aren't taken into account in the tours or majors then the women would be trounced the majority of the time?

Also, all the golf courses I've been on the Ladies tee is at least 20-30 yards ahead of the men's, often a lot more.

Women’s tees being 5 yards ahead of men’s only exists at 9 hole pitch and putt courses.

I am surprised that a person could be banned/not allowed to play in a team because of their gender. Is that discrimination?

Think they could in certain sports like motorsport or golf if they moved the tee placements as is currently the case. Or cricket as well to maybe brighten that tosh up.

Everyone seems happy enough having two different set ups for the boys and girls.

Can't ever see the day we have a woman playing in the mens edition of the PL and even the lower leagues.

Let the men have their team and let the women have theirs.

In physical sport, it'll never happen I don't think. Could you imagine if Cahill had fractured Kirbys skull instead of Ryan Masons? Huge uproar! "Cahill too rough for the women" etc etc.
But I would love to see it in non-physical sports.
I went to some BTCC racing where the youth races were mixed genders (Clio Cup if I remember correctly) And the women were doing just as good as the lads. As with all Clio Cups, if you've ever watched them, plenty of carnage and barrel rolls.

Yeah. Danica Patrick over in the States was an excellent driver, so they could cope alright with the g-forces.

No, they should remain separate sports, in every sport.

Im a woman and I cannot even stand the women pundits that appeared in the WC or have appeared on soccer specials etc. They are crap and shouldn’t be paid to offer a professional opinion on the men’s game as they’ve never played it. I don’t mind the women presenters or reporters, they do a decent job, they just shouldn’t be pundits.
