Baha no. Thankfully I did not - on the other side of the room it says GOAL in big red letters - it's covered by a few posters but still

Having to share a room is total bollocks especially at my age. It could be worse though I suppose

We're poor, we have a 32" TV downstairs from a brand you've never heard of.
    And thats it!

I've been playing off a crappy 18" HDTV from some Japanese manufacturer I'd never heard of but, following me getting a decent job this year, I've just treated myself to a 37" Samsung LCD TV with LED Backlights. Arrives on the 31st.

If the 50" fits in your room then surely that's a no brainer?

Set up a new 40" in my room earlier, and although at first my eyes were straining, you get used to it and it isn't much different, but I would probably say a 37" would be about right.

Stop bitching and go and buy a controller. You and your excuses and you still kick my ass at every game we play.

Screen-size is completely relevant to house close you sit to the screen. A PC monitor at around 20", you'd obviously sit closer. But bigger, you'd obviously sit a bit further back....But if you sit too far back, then the big size is pretty irrelevant.
But for me, the bigger the better. The more it takes up my vision, the more immersed I am. I play on a 42" and a 55". I sit around just under 2 metres away from it. And I always lean/sit forward. Im awful at games when I lean back or relax in my seat.

I'm convinced if I can buy an R1 button I'll be able to fix it

But I can't find one, surprisingly.

Same, i cannot relax when i am playing a game. I normally end up on the edge of my bed, or even standing up infront of the T.V

  16. Tried using a PS2 one?

Have no PS3 controllers in my house.
We'll see after I get my new controller tomorrow morning ;) However I think it was worth breaking my last one just so we could play that 7-7 game on FIFA.
