you have a nerve saying that
This ****ing thread.
You should all hang your heads in shame.
If Liverpool spent this much energy in their Academy they might actually produce a player or two for their first team
Yeah I was totally blown away by the whopping 0 Academy players who started for Everton yesterday. I understand TAA can't compete with titans of the sport like benchwarmer Tom Davies and a 19-year old who's barely played but cut us some slack eh? Busy winning trophies.
That leads to the obvious question....
Is it that all pricks are Everton fans or all Everton fans are pricks?
Fair point. It was a one off game the 0-9. They could at least pick one from this season like the 0-2 defeat against Brentford reserves! Only joking. I completely agree, it's boring narative to keep trotting out. I think sports media like to bring teams down then build them up and then bring them down again.
I was really impressed with Southampton: Ings, Adams, Bertrand in particular. Ward-Prowse always looked willing too. It must be pleasing to see that performance as there are a lot of good teams in this league this year, and one good side will be dragged into the relegation scrap I feel.
For Everton, surely there is a better option than Godfrey out right? Although the goals came from the other side, this was the biggest weakpoint.
Classic MOTD curse !
Big VT on Everton and how well they are doing before the game ..
Then they lose.
I am interested to see if Liverpool's 7-2 actually gets mentioned because it was really a worse result as we were down to 10 men and it was against Leicester, as opposed to having 11 men, being champions and getting spanked by Aston Villa.
But I bet it isn't.
Sorry, but losing by 9 goals can never be a better outcome than losing by 5.
You say that but would you prefer to lose 9-0 to Leicester at Anfield or 5-0 to Everton at Anfield?
I don't really have a preference in that instance.
you know you do though, you just don't want to admit it
What if you put a massive bet on a side to lose 9-0?
Yes it can, yours was clearly a worse result. We had 10 men for the whole game and were playing a better team, you literally had your full team and got spanked by a much worse team.
If a PL team lost 6-0 to another PL team that is a way worse result than a League one team losing to 9-0 to a PL team.
You were PL champions with your full team conceding 7 against an inferior team Villa, we were an already struggling team with 10 men losing 9 against a superior team in Leicester, clearly the former is worse and more shocking than the latter.
The only reason less fuss is made about it is because of the bias to clubs like Liverpool in the football media.
I mean it probably had more than a little to do with the fact that you almost never see 9 goals scored against a single team in a game too mush
You could've atleast made it realistic and put City or a side with a hope in hell of beating us at Anfield .
Was intentionally going with Leicester as they're the side that beat us
I was more commenting on the Everton part of the post mate, completely understood the Leicester part .
