You've probably realise I have gradually turned the Random Stats thread into a Spurs Stats thread! To avoid that remaining the case, I thought I'd just start our own thread. Feel free to contribute anything mildly interesting!

I'll start with these 2 Kane crackers:

    - As it stands, Harry Kane has a better minutes per goal ratio than any Spurs striker in the last 25 years.
    - Only 4 players in Europe's top 5 leagues have more goals in all competitions than Kane this season - Lacazette, Aguero, Messi, Ronaldo.

The last time we drew Burnley followed by Leicester in the cup, it was 1961.

The last time Burnley held us to a draw was 1993.

    We're gonna finish 15th :(

We have conceded exactly one goal in 7 or our last 8 away games (Chelsea 3-0 the exception).

I told you guys you were better off without that liability Kaboul. Your manager seems to agree with me too.

Not to say I don't agree that Fazio > Kaboul, but it's funny you have decided to point this out in response to a post which says we haven't kept a clean sheet in 8

End of the day mate Spurs went back to winning ways as soon as Kaboul (and Adebayor) were both rightfully dropped. And it's not just due to them performing badly, they both have poor attitudes as well.

Whoever you play in defence though, you still IMO need one or two new defensive midfielders to help protect your CB's and allow the full-backs more freedom to overlap.

Mason and Bentaleb are doing a great job. Not the fashionable names, but they are fantastic on the whole. Will only improve too at 23 and 20.

We will miss them while they are injured / in Africa respectively.

Yeah Mason has impressed me, looks a tidy player and it's hard to be consistent in your first season so fair play to him. But to me he seems more of a CM than a DM. Same with Bentaleb.

Mason is more defensive. Only 6 players in the league complete more tackles per game. But what's great about his game is he is always looking to make a pass that matters. Even in his very first few games for the first team he was willing to take chances to try and get things happening.

Only Fabregas and N'Zonzi have covered more ground this season than Christian Eriksen.

Maybe the myth of him being a luxury player who offers little defensively will be quashed finally..

Also Eric Dier has clocked the 5th fastest top speed in the Premier League. The same speed as Sterling. Surprised he is so quick!

actually i'm shocked fabregas is sooo high? with his passing ability i'd think he'd be VERY LOW. WEIRD THAT.... remember the great pele quote??? Brazilians let the BALL do the work. would have thought fab' was the epitome of a player who made the ball do the work.

that being said eriksen is class. but "ground covered" is nothing to do with that. IMHO

Our boys run like hell now, it's the Pochettino way. Most interesting is it that we keep it up the game throughout, we're better trained than most we face and it has paid off so far - Eriksen especially dangerous towards the end of games.
Harry Kane is also the forward that cover the most ground in the Premier League.

Per 90 minutes, yes, which is great to see and not at all surprising. Won't make the miles covered overall lists obviously, because of lack of playing time.

    im sceptical of this logic.

watch a Barcelona game these day. messi doesn't run much off the ball. they want their star player to be energised for the key moments.

In the last couple of months alone, Eriksen has scored 3 winners for us fairly late on in games (2 in stoppage time).

incredibly selective statistic on your part.
i'm sure anyone could find a stat of a player who scored a few late goals and DIDN'T run around much- if they bothered to look hard enough.

I bet our late goals will start to dry up. just one of those things IMO
