It is though. Well, defenders anyway. Pep needs quality attacking fullbacks, which you lack, a solid partnership which may come in time with Diaz, who knows? And a clever defensive midfielder who can see danger and snuff out opposition before they get going.
His Barca had Alves and Alba as marauding fullbacks almost wingers, Bayern he used Lahm and Alaba as inverted fullbacks. Then there’s Busquets or Alonso/Martinez and Fernandinho for yourselves in the defensive mid roles. Look at the calibre of player there compared to Walker, Rodri and Cancelo? He’s previously had your fullbacks playing more the Barca way than the Bayern way, but they’re just not on the same level. Pre injury Mendy is as close you’ve got to looking like having a proper fit for that role. None of your more recent signings are as good as those that Peps had before. A bit like Jesus as a replacement for Aguero. Good but not good enough.

I'm not sure whether or not Pep is the man to turn his teams around if they're in a crisis. He reminds me a bit of Jose in that respect. Jose is good when things are going well but not when things turn around and his teams start to lose. I noticed it at Chelsea.

Chelsea? Liverpool? Much nearer where they normally are aren't they? A team is as good as its last performance so let's see how you do over the next few matches.

Who could possibly follow Pep who is on an equal tier in world football? Maybe that was on the minds of the bosses.

Pep is done. This team is absolute shite. No pace, no creativity. Even De Bruyne looks very ordinary this season. Nobody is even bothered. Genuinely fear for City. No creativity, no goalscorer.

City don’t even win at the top sides anymore. They always lose at Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea, more often then not lose at Leicester and Manchester United.

Manchester City could seriously finish outside the champions league places and for the amount of money spent that is a joke. Who in this Manchester City side in current form would get into the Tottenham or Chelsea side? Nobody would. A side lacking any serious quality.

Liverpool’s season is long gone since the defensive crisis. The team most likely to win the league is Chelsea. Without goals you don’t win games. With moronic full backs bombing forward leaving defences exposed you don’t win games. City are miles off it this year. Chelsea have leaders in that team. City have no leadership and have not filled that leadership void since Kompany left. Tottenham will fall short. Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Leicester in that order I reckon.
