God save the queen. Upto much on this festival of a day?
Didn't even know it was today
It’s a disgrace how we aren’t off on a day like today.
Off to the pub later wearing an England shirt
Neither did The Labour Party they posted a tweet yesterday wishing everyone happy Saint George's Day.
Yep, had no idea. Non-event though really.
At least they'd make it a bank holiday though
St.George? Never heard of him, only know St.Paul(i)
Problem in this country is anyone seen as remotely celebrating the day is automatically part of the EDL in a lot of people's eyes.
Quite sad that I didn’t even realise. Happy St George’s day
Wasn't the tweet saying they'd make St Georges Day a bank holiday? So they posted it on, a bank holiday? That was my thinking anyway?
Maybe make a day of it then, include people. Instead of making up nonsense that hasnt even happened. Automatically though
We should really have an English saint as our patron saint. Bloody foreigners coming over here* and stealing our jobs.
*dont think he set foot in the UK, but I wanted to get into a nationalist spirit to mark this special day.
I'd say they are just against us celebrating our Saints day as it annoys their voters in London, who can forget Emily Thornberry slagging off a fella who had England flags on the front of his house during the World Cup? Labour no longer support the white people of this country which is why they'll never be in power thank f*ck.
I'm sorry mate, but that is just utter bollocks.
The Emily Thornberry thing was more to do with snobbery and ignorance than actual being anti-English. If anything she comes across proper English upper class and pompous, her fathers a Sir I believe? so I very much doubt she has a single anti-English bone in her body.
So who do labour support then? Bloody whites
My calendar at work said it was yesterday tbh.
Anyway, St.Georges day is a load of bollocks.
Everyone moans about it being a non event whilst they also stay in and do nothing.
Everyone then goes on to compare it to St.Patricks day and asks why St.Georges day can’t be like that.
1) there are very good reasons why not
2) Why the f*ck would you want it to be like that? Some twat in Ohio putting on a bowler hat, and claiming he’s part British whilst downing Carling and talking in a stupid accent
The English haven't been recently historically subjugated or conquered by colonisers, or have a large diaspora, pretty simple explanation why it's not an important date.
This will inevitably lead down a perfectly fine, normal path.
Lefties call you racist so your not allowed to be English.
