I'll keep Gullit and pick Manuel Amoros.

    He's yours.

@Poet Gooner gets (but actually doesn't get) Edwin van der Sar.

Wtf? Rummenigge and Gullit played the same role in their prime.

They could play in different roles and would work pretty well in a 4-2-3-1 double pivot for me actually.

I'll line up something like this:

    --------------------Kalle-----------------
    Dzajic---------Gullit-------Garrincha
    -----------Matthaus---Keane---------
    -----------------Back four---------------

    Very direct counter attacking side.

Kalle played either as a RWF,LWF or up top. A physical beast like Gullit next to him is actually a great foil, considering how well he and Hoeness fed each other. Not to mention Gullit presence in the box with crossers like Garrincha and Djazic on the flanks suit my team very well.

So, you think Rummenigge is better as No. 9 than other top strikers? Rummenigge in his prime played behind the striker.

Anyway you are stealing me all my players, Dzajic, Matthaus, Figueroa (now you have two liberos) and now Gullit ... you have no consideration mate.

I don't think there's better #9 left than Kalle tbh. Kalle was the complete forward of his time and could easily play up top to great effect. He wasn't limited striker or a winger/SS per say but his movement and finishing made him a complete CF at the time. A bit like Law in your team. Law himself played as a SS most of the time but was fluent as a CF, especially in his latter days.

Kalle had a lot of poacher like finishes and his best work came combining with another physical beast up top - a lot similar to Gullit in that sense, whilst the latter was one of the most complete midfielders/forwards and also operated as a CF at times for Milan.

Gullit was my next pick actually, but it worked out pretty well for me picking him and can concentrate onto full backs and a keeper.

Figueroa wasn't the conventional libero either - he was great in the air and an excellent marker, as Gerd Muller can testify himself in 1974. He was equally good as a stopper or as a libero and played in a back four systems both for the NT and club sides. His best qualities actually come very close to typical stopper as well.

Think you have great substitutions tho in Kohler and Best (instead of Dzajic and Figueroa ) yourself mate.

also it could be pretty interchangeable to 4-4-2:

    -------------Gullit---Kalle-----------------
    Dzajic-------------------------Garrincha
    -----------Matthaus---Keane---------
    -----------------Back four---------------

Actually in Germany the greatest strikers are Gerd Müller and Uwe Seeler ... Rummenigge always was an all-around forward, you can see him in his matches ... here you can watch 70 matches of him Partidos completos de Karl-Heinz Rummenigge | Footballia

Figueroa reached the highest defensive abilities of all time (as same as Maldini) but he need to be able to join to the attack when he wants (as same as Baresi).

I've watched both Kalle and Figueroa plenty mate. Both are two of my favorite players ever, but thanks for the link anyway.

Also in that WC 74' Figueroa stayed mostly back as they needed defensive solidity and didn't join the attack much, rarely crossed the halfway line in fact.

Really pi55ed that Zambrotta went just before my last pick. Struggling for RBs, could play Gentile there but need someone more attacking.
