Who would you like Wenger to sign this Summer?
Personally I would love to see Higuaín in an Arsenal shirt this season.
A top class central defender and possibly Sissoko to add depth to the squad.

Not sold on Higuain personally. I prefer the sharper mobility of Lacazette.

I'd take either of them mate, they would both make us stronger! I'm sure Wenger has a trick up his sleave. ☺

    I'm sure he doesn't.

Barking-mad generals tend to be pretty obdurate about their ideology. I cannot see Wenger abandoning his philosophy which has rewarded him so richly these past twelve years, purely out of principle.

I'm going to embrace pessimism and suggest his spending beyond a couple of squad players, might be finished already.

He may even attempt to re-sign Bendtner or Gervinho's forehead. I hear they both went on to great things.

    And all things are possible.

We wont sign anyone. What we should do is:

    In: Mustafi, Mahrez, lacazette/lukaku

    Out: theo, ox.

Definitely reasonable. Id say we could get 40 million out of theo and ox, which would cover Mustafi and go towards the other 2 and the rest would be money which we apparently have.

    Hi all

What the hell has happened to Wenger? I couldn't believe what I was reading last week when he pretty much said that Arsenal are not looking for a striker, so I joined up here.

If Arsenal do not sign a quality striker and quality centre back they will not even finish in the top four I don't think. It gets more frustrating each season to see rival clubs making great signing and Arsenal left behind. Fair enough they managed runner up spot in the end last season but that's still a failure when its behind Leicester.

Now you have Pep, Klopp, Conte and Mourinho with new teams as well as Spurs and West Ham yet Wenger still refuses to spend big on top quality. Ozil and Sanchez should be the standard we are looking for throughout, yet they can't even sign a player like Lacazette, who is not at their level. Wenger needs to wake up fast and accept that if you want top quality players, you have to pay ridiculous sums to get them, its just the way it is now.

I was at The Emirates on the opening day of the season and couldn't get over how flat you lot were in the stadium... no atmosphere whatsoever.

Finishing 2nd last season isn't too shabby and Wenger basically has it set in stone every season that he'll nail down a top 4 finish... something not to be sniffed at. But to make that next step in today's current market you do have to spend and even to give the fans a lift + something to get excited about going into the start of the season.

It's the apathy. I'm expecting a more jovial atmosphere for Southampton. Our squad isn't looking to bad now.

    So.

It took the England manager to drop him before Wilshere decides he needs to buck his ideas up.

    Wenger's motivational prowess remains undimmed.

Can't find the sarcasm smilie, someone helping me look..
