Nah at least Ibe has some footballing talent, and is young and English. Also being an attacker its very likely Howe will get a tune out of him eventually.

3-6m depending where you read - either way- for that "left back" Smith was a far far bigger con than Ibe. We had better full backs in League One that cost nothing.

Ojo probably has more footballing talent than Ibe tbf, just less workrate.

They bought him for 2m before the money went real stupid I wouldn't say his potential has increased by x5 but the money you need to spend to bring an English player in may have done.

It's also well documented that he Arnold and Woodburn are very highly rated by Liverpool. Whenever he came on for the England U20's this summer he changed the game and looked very good explosive, they won the tournament this will also increase his value tremendously.

I don't really get any of this hype behind Sheyi Ojo, and not sure what he's done that would command £10 million. If Liverpool were offered that, they should be snapping Newcastle's hands off. I don't really think he's technically good enough, he's really struggled in professional football and I don't really see what he's done to suggest he can play in the top flight yet. I'd definitely take Ibe over him to say the least.

He's really struggled in professional football :confused?

He struggled at a shit Wigan team on loan.

He had a shaky loan at Wolves and their fans weren't happy, but he was still amongst their most productive players per 90.

He has performed very well here when played.

He's probably an upper championship lower prem player now, just needs consistent games to prove it :shrug.

Yeah, you'd think a player as highly regarded as him wouldn't fail at both Wolves and Wigan. He only played against Plymouth for you last season, presumably for a reason. Whenever he's been given the opportunity to prove that he should be at that level, he's failed. You can argue that his value is in his potential, and that he may have done well at youth level, but you can't question the fact that he's struggled in professional football, because it's clear to see.

Jordan Ibe at his age had also had two Championship loan spells, both of which were successful, particularly at Derby where he was looking like one of the best wingers in the division and made 41 appearances in his final Liverpool season. I don't see how Sheyi Ojo can be regarded more highly than him.

He was worth £100 million to us last season.

He failed at Wigan at 17 in a shit team, similar with Wolves a year later :shrug. He barely played last season due to injury. During his appearances for us he's had far more success than ibe had. Ojo is widely regarded by Liverpool fans and coaches as being ahead of ibe, hence why Ibe was sold :shrug. Personally I'm not that fussed on him and prefer some of our other options but he's significantly more talented than Ibe.

I'd take Aguero. World class striker.

Pep has a history of selling top strikers, Ibra, Eto'o and Mandzuckic so I'd say this move isn't too unrealistic to happen.

Certainly took me by surprise, didn't even think of Aguero as a potential replacement!

Zouma been photographed in Stoke training kit. Can't be long before he's loan is announced.

No chance Aguero joins Chelsea, IMO.

Ibe is a much better diver though, Sheyi just makes it way too obvious.

World Record fee for us to even entertain the idea imo.

But both manager and Chairman were pretty insistent in May that he was going nowhere, so I don'r see it.

Talent stands out like a sore thumb at the bottom of the Championship. You can't blame the rest of the team on simple things like control and first touch, which he just didn't have. I just don't see where he is ahead of Ibe, he hasn't got himself as close to the first time as Ibe was and hasn't achieved nearly as much him out on loan. Ibe was sold because Bournemouth bid £15 million or him, if Newcastle were to bid £10 million for Ojo he'd be gone as well.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, and see how both careers develop, but I've seen a fair bit of both and definitely think Jordan Ibe will have the better career as he's much more well rounded, technically better footballer.

    A) we have a much richer squad now than we did when Ibe was breaking through.

    B) Ojo is a far more technically rounded player as he actually has a brain.

I can't see either making it at a club like ours but I'd be amazed if in five years time Ojo wasn't playing regular football in the prem :shrug. If Ojo wasn't such a lazy ****er he probably would be now.

None of the ones he's sold have the footballing ability that Aguero does.

You're right. Their ability is superior.
