I know you don't think he's genuinely better than Sané, so the point is kind of moot.
The point is, he's clearly not '[email protected]
That's f*cking mental money, i thought the Chinese league was capping this kind of spending?
Thought you lot were happy for him to have gone back to Newcastle in Jan, when it was rumoured?
That was more due to his application levels than his quality as a footballer. Something wasn't right under Pardew and he was a complete passenger.
Since BFS came in he's been one of our top performers and hardest working players. He's chipped in with several crucial goals and assists as well.
He's the epitome of a 'confidence' player. Use him right and there aren't many better out-and-out wingers in this league.
Gossip round-up: Liverpool remain in Lacazette race
Last summer it was Boro fans who were overjoyed with there transfers a mix of big name stars (Valdez and Negredo) foreign potential ( Espinosa, De roon etc) and premier league misfits (guediora, Ramirez , chambers etc) which is looking increasingly like a poor transfer window. Even ourselves the large transfers haven't really worked as yet (Gradel, ibe, moussett etc) and we still rely on our league1/championship core, moral of the story don't get too excited by every player you are going to be linked with, which will be lots.
To be fair, out of the players mentioned, De Roon, Valdes, Negredo and Chambers have all been a success to a greater or lesser degree.
Our main problem is not with the players we signed but with the players we didn't sign, or at least the positions we didn't sign players for. We had needed good new wingers for 2 or 3 years, not addressing that in the championship was bad from us, to fail again when in the Prem is inexcusable and why we're going down.
In your promotion season you signed Stuart Downing for big money including wages, you signed Traore last summer who had/has lots of potential, in any case it wasn't so much a dig at the individuals more your transfer window as a whole and the fact that most of your fans were very happy with the business you had done ( which looked good on paper which is my point) but for one reason or another just hasn't worked
Downing was signed as a number 10 as that was where he'd been succesful for West Ham. Traore was signed as a prospect for the future, he was never meant to play as much as he has this year.
I think he might end up at a top 7 team.
£600,000... after tax
What is the tax rate in China?!
Which had it not been for cup runs and injuries we'd probably be competing for, and i'd expect us to compete for next season (depending on how the window goes)
Saw rumours that Chinese club are willling to offer €150m for Costa.
Isn't that £125m?! Snatch it and run.
You don't half get some ludicrous fees for players, between Luiz's original sale, Oscar & possibly Costa, wonder if Abramovic is pulling in some favours .
Add 50 mill from the Oscar deal. Nearly 180mill for two incredibly inconsistent players.
Looking forward to the summer window
Absolutely mental money! Fair play Chelsea if they get it but it's f*cking nuts
Didn't a Chinese side put in a £250m bid for Ronaldo last summer? Offering £80m a year wages?
Absolutely ludicrous levels of money.
Looks like arsenal have wrapped up the signing of sead kolasinac on a free
Gylfi is ours if we get promoted. Big if

Surprised they didn't accept that tbh. Could have signed Hazard, De Gea and probably Dybala with that sort of money.
Can't be true, too good to turn down.
