think id rather have him than Downing and for less dosh as well
He will flourish at Sunderland, I hope he does well.
Noticed you've been linked with Jonas Olsson today, the geezer is fantastic and has been quality since he's came to England. He's out of contract next season and is unlikely to sign a new deal. I'm saying around 5m will do it but hopefully we'll hold out for around 8m. Would be a top signing for you and a huge loss for us.
How dead is this place?
Well to summarize the transfers ( could sign freebies)
- Danny Rose ( loan )
All of whom I am certain will make a positive impact here at SAFC. All together a successful transfer period and one where we didn't go much ( or at all ) over our selling of some players.
Johnson's the stand out signing.
Most definitely, I swore he was bound for Lpool at the time. Doesn't shadow the other signings though Fletch did get a brace.
Like the look of Sunderland's team. Fletcher isn't worth 14m in my book, but he's a good player and he'll score a lot of goals. Johnson is also a very good signing. Fancy Sunderland to finish 10th+ easily.
Virgil Van Dijk
Sunderland after 21 games in 14th place in the Premier League to find. Virgil van Dijk said earlier this week, when the interest of Everton topic of conversation was that the choice of a new club an informed decision, because the next step is important for his future career. A choice for Everton, a beautiful folk club, therefore seems less obvious, since he at that club reportedly the intended replacement for a benchwarmer, namely John Heitinga. We do not think that Van Dijk at the next club satisfied with a spare roll. Perhaps a choice for Sunderland therefore realistic.
Signed for Celtic.
Supposedly we are negotiating a fee for James McClean, a figure of £2.5 million is being reported.
Sorry that this isn't linked to the topic but I'd like as many Sunderland fans who would be kind enough to take part to see this as possible. Anyone who could complete this as part of my study would be greatly appreciated!
I am a Postgraduate Student at Northumbria University. In my studies, I have found theories of the home advantage to be particularly interesting. More specifically, identifying the causes of home advantage perceived by fans and players is of importance to me and is the topic of my Postgraduate Thesis Project. I was wondering if it was possible for any of you to help me with my Thesis Project by completing a short questionnaire I have designed?
The questionnaire itself will comprise of various questions with regards to the causes of the home advantage and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Questions will assess fans's attitudes towards the home advantage and therefore will not consist of any questions that will cause any discomfort or embarrassment. Confidentiality will be held for those who complete the questionnaire, and more information concerning confidentiality and questions about the study itself will be available through the link.
Thanks very much in advance!
whos coming in, disappointed about Bardsley
You've signed Billy Jones from West Brom.
Ye see that dont know much about him other than WBA did offer him a new contract.
Gomez on a free, 6 months played well, ominous for the previous years!
Why is Lambert going to Liverpool? Won't get any gametime ahead of Suarez or Sturridge. Also Gerrard takes penalty kicks for Liverpool so I'm really struggling to see why they are signing him.
I could not be more confused with this post. Was Sunderland linked with Lambert?
Oops wrong thread lol
Jordi Gomez. His level is Championship football. Can't dictate a game at Prem level. Only occurred a few times, notably Everton away in the FA Cup and Reading at home where he scored a hat trick. can't see Sunderland fans tolerating him not doing his fair share of tackling. But that might have changed under Rosler completely like it did in the end of season run. I'll watch closely how he does
sounds about right
