Cheers Sunderland, stuck £40 on the scabs at 11/4 this morning, put £90 back int bank, and £60 on Hull City at 23/20 for Saturday. Buying money backing against this shower at the moment, happy days.

Get a few quid on Barnsley finishing bottom of the Yorkshire league.

    Nice result tonight mind.

We are going down no question about that. What a truly awful game of football, the standard was abysmal, league 1 will be even worse but surely to goodness we will be competitive in that division ?

9/2 Sunderland, is a far better price than the 4/9 Barnsley

Well, we did try to explain to you makems because we had little trouble getting back with almost a new team, (and a full ground like last time) that DIDN'T mean Sunderland would manage it - quite the opposite.
The damage done by Moyes was catastrophic and the shit he signed you can't get shot of (we had some like that too. Fortunately theres far more good than bad. The opposite applies to SAFC
Oh, you'll not go down. But mid table will be as good as it gets.
And NOT with one of the bigger crowds in this league. With good reason

And you'll both be doing it for a good few years to come too.....
(Despite Wor Daryl helping you out more than you deserve):gotcha:D

Wouldn't speak too soon Philip, there's a long way to go yet and you may be joining us next season.

Great 3 points but sounds like we didn't deserve it (but for Sunderland's ineptitude) - not going to look a gift horse in the face though...

Oh I made no mention of how well or indifferent my lot plays. I'm just enjoying the petulantance on the media's faces and the truculent avoiding of Newcastle actually doing OK after a poor start - on the national radio and press they're barely concealing their disappointment. We enraged them when we went down in 2010 and despite Ashley, did the OPPOSITE of what they confidently forecast
And exact same again last season. Remember how they confidently predicted crowds of 20,000 and less ?
The graceless biased bastards were at it again through the non contributions of Mike Ashley this season - they're DESPERATE for Rafa to leave. Bloody DESPERATE.
But we'll see. We've got a gold nugget in Merino and I reckon one or two of the young lads like Lascelles will come good.
But with Sunderland I see little to encourage likes of yourself.
    They aren't conceding many.
    Which is good.
    But scoring less.
    Which is bad

We've now equaled the amount of away games won from last season, and it's only mid-September.

    I hate football sometimes.

I'm gobsmacked we even scored against Brentford mate, let alone beat them.

Is this real life? Winning away and not conceding?

To be honest, no matter what happens this season we've finally got the right people on board -- the future is definitely brighter; so long as feet remain firmly planted on the ground and people don't start talking promotion after a few wins, then we'll be just fine.

Get rid of some more deadwood in the summer and then do a proper rebuild with some other gems, and we're going to make our way up to the point where we can properly compete in this league again.

100% think we're on the right track mate - the change in our attacking play of the summer is fantastic. I think we can all see that we don't have the defensive unit to challenge for promotion but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us around 10th... think we're into a good thing as long as we don't implode over the next 24 months or so.
