Yeah I saw large parts of the first set, and it was high-level stuff. Andy just can't do much more without becoming physically fitter, which is such an ask. Unfortunately, he seems to have hit his ceiling in that regard. Maybe a big training block at the end of the year could push him on a level, but tough to expect too much at this point. I suppose it's more recovery than fitness. Gets through these tough matches but then struggles for the gas to get through the following match.

Good to see Emma get off the mark on the WTA tour. Can guarantee if she'd lost first match again, it would've become one of those annoying media narratives. Could do without that pressure, although she obviously she handled it so well in NY.

Another good win for Radacanu in straight sets against Bogdan.

Disappointing from Radacanu - sounds like she went into the match with a bad mind set and it showed with the score .

Oh Andy. These narrow defeats. The breakthrough just isn't going to come is it?

Yes - maybe that lack of fitness tells in the long matches ?

Another win for Cam Norrie though .

Watched Djokovic claim the Paris Masters earlier, taking him to 37 Masters in total, surpassing Nadal who’s on 36. Another record broken, along with him cementing the Year End No.1 record (7 in total) by making the final of this same tournament. It would’ve been ridiculous if the guy who won the first three slams of the year didn’t end up as No.1.

Eddie Jones having his say on Radacanu comparing her post US open form to the hype young rugby players get and how it could affect them .

Big win for Murray against Sinner. Knocks out the top seed and breaks his second round curse at the same time. Now he's punched a hole in the draw by knocking out the top seed he needs to try and go on a run now for the confidence and ranking points.

Federer likely not going to be playing at the Aussie Open. Coach has said he wants to play at 100% and with a chance to win.

I can only assume that he's going to play at Wimbledon with the intention of saying Goodbye at his favourite tournament.

2019 Final makes it even more sickening. Could've been the place where he won his first and last Grand Slam.

Not now unless there is a serious outbreak of cases in the area.

Not a chance. Some people may pull out if they’re told they have to hotel quarantine for two weeks - at their own expense - but the Victorian government will make sure this one goes ahead.

That’s probably it for Federer, confirming he’ll miss Wimbledon as well as the AO means he’ll be about 47 years old by the time the US Open comes around..
