I just want to see us score a bloody goal at that joke of a stadium. Once again I'll take another point from an away game if only to stop this ridiculous streak that they keep harping on about. It shouldn't bother me really, seeing as it's never helped them finish anywhere near us in the last 15 years.
Looks like Yaser Kasim is missing Iraq's WCQ, hopefully he's fit for the weekend as he'll be a key player for us.
I'm not going to predict a result, already too nervous about this. The result won't define our season as it did theirs when we strolled to the L2 title back in 11/12.

Never been more confident about turning over the piss stains.

We are so much stronger than last season and I've eaten a huge amount of humble pie after fearing the worst.

Less fannying around at the back, pressing opponents and crisp, accurate passing. Only slight worry is the present lack of converting chances into goals.

    0-4

"I told my players that for me and for everybody, even though the six points Oxford got from us last year was enough for them to reach nothing, I don’t like to give this kind of charity"

Love that quote! Came up on my 'on this day' for today

    Thanks dude.

Loved Paolo, in many aspects the club hasn't been the same since.

I'm surprised he's been out of management so long. He can achieve anything with his passion and hunger.

Good luck paying for that then!

We booked a year ago, so long before any sporting fixtures were announced.

Manchester Derby, A420 Derby and GGG Vs Brook!

God, you Swindles are a friendly lot!
Should be a good game, Oxford are still getting their act together and haven't quite 'gelled' as yet and are still looking for the right formation, injuries haven't helped and we haven't played 2 matches on the trot with the same side, that said I believe things are moving in the right direction. For some Oxford supporters this game is too soon in the season but I am sure the players will be up for it. I will predict 2-1 to the mighty Oxford but feel 0-0 is probably nearer the mark.

My enthusiasm for all things football went about 5 years ago now.

So I can't imagine I will give it a second thought all day.

Let's start a bit closer to the present.

Let's try last time we played at The Manor?

I thought this would be a massive slag fest probably reaching fifty odd pages so just 17 posts is a little disappointing.
I went to college in Oxford along the Botley road way back in the eighties and all the Oxford fans absolutely hated Swindon FC.
Do you think it's dieting out regarding the passionate dislike of each other ?

    Definitely not.

If it is though, it's only because they've spent so many years 1-2 divisions below us since 2001.
They keep harping on about 5 in a row, it'd be nice for their younger fans to begin to understand why they have such an inferior head to head record with us.
