Anybody watched this series? Think it's an Amazon Prime original. It's pretty damn good:
Karl Urban has a funny knack of making things that should be shit actually good, if not that then being the only good thing in something shit.
I enjoyed this, a great chemistry of characters. That bit where Homelander is explaining how ridiculous the idea of saving a plane full of people is
Some great stuff in it tbh. Like the bit with the girlfriend, you could genuinely see how that would happen.
The best part is when The Deep try’s to save the lobster at the market absolutely pissed myself at most of his scenes his character is such a dick but actually quite endearing at times.
It's testament to how far a bit of humour and sympathy can go to repairing the image of a character. He goes from scumbag rapist to almost likeable, even feeling sorry for him, near the end
He's amazing as Dredd, and should be forced to play Dredd every time they use the property.
Frenchie is great.
The biggest negative for me is the guy who plays Homelander, wrong casting for the part imo.
I didnt even realise it was the main guy from Banshee until I looked it up. Thought he was great though, subtle. That sort of part could be easily over acted
I haven’t seen him in anything else, I just wouldn’t have picked him for that part.
This still puzzles me..
so did Butcher literally murder a child for nothing in the finale then?
Dredd is a terrible film
It would appear that way -
I think we can safely say Homelander was not going to make any effort to rescue that baby!
It really isn't.
I thought he was one of the best aspects of an overall cracking show
Can't say I know the source material however.
Any time he was on screen he sold the idea that he could snap at any moment with devastating results while not going overboard. A subtly menacing performance
Agreed. Thought he was class in the role.
He's compeletely different isn't he, in appearance & character. He's went from starring in a hugely under appreciated show like Banshee that not many people watched, to one of the most hyped shows.
I thought he was perfect for his part. Karl Urban is the best obviously as he's funny as f#ck, his dodgy accent just adds to it.
He just didn’t do it for me, I thought it was pretty bad acting. But i overall enjoyed the programme but he was my least fave part of it.
That was the point though he was meant to be cheesy & transparent. Thought he was the best thing about the show tbh.
Yes I know that
I often think the opposite of the majority it seems.
