If you wasn’t born a caterpillar, you could never have been a butterfly.

That’s what the butterfly effect means.

Bet any that were not in work for whatever reason at the Twin Towers on that fateful day back in 2001 felt like the luckiest people alive when the buildings came crashing down.

I once watched a documentary on 9/11 that featured some of the stories of people who should have been in the towers that day or abroad the planes. None of them were really significant reasons just the usual took a ciggy break, car broke down, running late or missed the plane etc. Call it fate or luck but it’s freaky how something so small can change everything.

    No it doesn't

Butterfly Effect just means small scale events can lead to enormous events in a later state. That's as simplistic as I can think to put it. The butterfly bit is nothing but a figurative way for it to be understood.

It’s a guess tbf:laugh:I’m going on events having a drastic change... ie a caterpillar changing to a butterfly is a pretty drastic change of events

That's the standard state of events. As much as a baby becoming an adult.

The butterfly effect takes its name from the theory a butterfly flapping its wings in 1 part of the world can cause a hurricane a few weeks later elsewhere. Its part of the chairs theory.

    Is freaky indeed.

Wish i had never gone to that bloody wedding night do back in 1995, if i had decided to stay at home i would never have met my now ex and chances are she would met some other poor sod. If i knew then what i know now i would have gone to the away game i was originally going to attend which was a few hundred miles away at Brighton.
