This is actually a scary watch. Either he thinks the population is so stupid they will buy this shit, or he genuinely believes that there is no difference between killing animals to feed a nation, and killing them and them completely going to waste.

If Boris thinks there's wage growth I'm sure he was happy with the NHS rejecting the pay increase proposal a few week ago and now local government and schools looking like they're going to reject 1.75% too, Unison already announced 79% rejected.

A few weeks ago Sunak abandoned the Pension Triple Lock because it would have meant an 8% rise in pensions saying the rise in wages was a 'blip', but now Johnson's on TV claiming the rise in wages is a result of Tory policy. It's like he thinks we have the memory of goldfish.

He treats the British public like the fools they are. At the end of the day they voted him in practically on a landslide and he's still polling well despite the endless list of blatant lies and despicable things he's done. We're getting the leadership we deserve as a nation.

A Conservative has spoken out about the struggles of living on an MP’s salary on the day Universal Credit has been cut for the most vulnerable in the country.

Sir Peter Bottomley, the ‘Father of the House’ as the MP in the Commons with the longest continuous service, called it ‘desperately difficult’ for many of his colleagues.

He thinks MPs, who are paid £81,932 annually, should be paid the same amount as GPs – whose average salary in England is £100,700.

The average salary across the UK was £31,461 as of last year.

‘I take the view that being an MP is the greatest honour you could have, but a general practitioner in politics ought to be paid roughly the same as a general practitioner in medicine,’ he told the New Statesman.

‘Doctors are paid far too little nowadays. But if they would get roughly £100,000 a year, the equivalent for an MP to get the same standard of living would be £110-£115,000 a year – it’s never the right time, but if your MP isn’t worth the money, it’s better to change the MP than to change the money.’

Although he said he currently is not struggling financially, he believes the situation is ‘desperately difficult’ for his newer colleagues.

The Worthing West, in West Sussex representive added: ‘I don’t know how they manage. It’s really grim.’

Must be tough, 77 years old, a Knight of the realm, married to a Baroness who sits in the House of Layabouts, their combined income will barely touch £200,000 p.a.

You have a point, depending on how long it would take to get such a project online to supply the UK with gas. If it could be productive within a year I think they should go ahead, but if it would be 5 years+ then there's little point given the timescale for the abolition of domestic gas usage.

Basically the Border Force can literally throw migrants overboard without any repercussion. What a country we have become

But should our government be putting innocent people's lives at threat?

Whilst literally making it legal for Border Force officials to murder people, don't forget!

In my mind's eye I have a vision of Border Force checking if any of the migrants are HGV drivers, butchers or fruit pickers then throwing the rest overboard. :(

We don't need fruit pickers now summer is over so they can be thrown back in as well and any HGV drivers must commit to driving their HGV off the edge of the White Cliffs of Dover on New Year's Eve once their services are no longer required. Nothing has been confirmed about migrant butchers but I presume they will be rounded up and fed to pigs in Pritler's back garden

Of course, we'll get what we need out of them first. We rule the world, don't forget and peasants will do as we say!

Awful to read this - attacked when just doing his job.

A man has been arrested after reports that Conservative MP Sir David Amess was stabbed at a constituency surgery.

Essex Police said they were called to reports of a stabbing in Leigh-on-Sea at 12:05 BST and recovered a knife from the scene.

They said they were not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident.

Former party leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith said he was "praying for a full recovery".

He said on Twitter: "My thoughts are with David Amess MP and his family at this awful time.

"Praying for a full recovery following this appalling, shocking news. This angry, violent behaviour cannot be tolerated in politics or any other walk of life..."
