Great performance by 16 year old Elliot, Milner shone in this match, even though he was played out of position...
Sunderland did the same a few years ago and got a fine, turns out it’s because we loaned him to some Spanish team in January and the ‘international clearance’ isn’t sorted? He’s our ****ing player .
Doubt they will kick Liverpool out the thing. Fine and a slap on the wrist. Kinda want Klopp to take it more seriously now and go and win it, just for the fume at the end.
I doubt Liverpool would be to bothered about being kicked out of this competition. It's just a distraction anyway
Usually it's always been the case in cup competitions that you'd get kicked out for playing anyone ineligible.
The reg papers were sent in July so is it Liverpools fault for assuming they would have been processed by now or the FA's for being slow to process?
Unsure. You would think the club would ensure stuff like that is sorted before playing anybody? A club so big will have somebody who keeps stuff like that in check.
not quite true , Sunderland received a fine in 2014 for playing ineligible player in league cup game and 4 league games
As of 2016, 143 teams had been expelled from the FA Cup, and the most common reason for a club being expelled was due to Fielding an ineligible player.
Fielding ineligible players, hacking another teams scouting network...dirty hands over at Liverpool I for one hope the are kicked out of the Carabao Cup.
Why should you be treated any differently? Lots are non league clubs, as they play the vast majority of FA Cup games, but plenty were sides in the Football League as well.
I mean, considering this is a different competition. The stat is pretty irrelevant anyway. The Football League and the FA are different bodies. The Football League most recently only fined Sunderland for a similar (but actually more serious) breach of the rules. And so, you would expect this to be no different.
