But but I thought Messi was a nice humble guy.

To be fair, he never really backed down against anyone, not even Ramos.

Man argued with other man on football pitch. Shocking.

Luis Suárez injured for four months. Blessing in disguise?

Horrible board. Valverde should have been sacked in May 2019. Now they have admitted they don't want Valverde anymore, yet can't sack him because Xavi and Koeman have both said "not right now".
Now the only option left to save face is an interim, or perhaps Gallardo for 5 months.

Necessary sacking. Valverde's Barça peaked in 17-18 (Liga with just 1 defeat + Copa thrashing Sevilla in the final) but even that season was tainted by the 3-0 debacle at Roma.

18-19 was bad enough already; Liga title because of Messi in 6th Ballon d'Or mode. Debacle at Anfield + miserable final de Copa vs Valencia.

The guy should have been sacked just as soon as 18-19 ended. He's a joyless 4-4-2 manager, unable to properly use DeJong and constantly downplaying the youth players. Lack of fitness and discipline also unbearable, close to 07-08 Barça.

Let's see if Setién can quickly pull a functional 4-3-3 (Fati-Griezmann-Messi up front) and improve the fitness (especially the CBs) or this will be a trophyless season for Barça.

Messi has done that to plenty of players and when has he tossed around like a rag doll. He's one of the strongest and hardest players to knock off the ball ever

Strange time to sack him. Should've happened after Anfield. Hopefully Setien will bring success and he should certainly bring more exciting attacking football going by his track record

Decent start for setien at barca. They weren't great but showed an improvement in tempo compared to alot of games this season. Great he brought on Puig who had a very good 20 minutes and who played a big part in Messi's goal
