Is anyone watching this. Based on books on a semi fictional character called Uhtred who was a Saxon Lord but was taken and eventually 'adopted' by a Danish Viking Earl. It is based at the time of King Alfred and the Danish Viking invasion around the 9th century.

The 1st season was brilliant, and the 2nd series is a couple of episodes in. Well worth a watch if you like this sort of historical drama, with some of it fairly factual (to Mowgli & Dirk; I haven't read the books so I don't really care that the TV series is not exactly like the book)

Seen up to the point where Uhtred kills the fat guy and lost interest tbh.

Nice one, enjoyed the first series, didn't know it was back on. It's not the best thing ever but well worth a watch.

Sorry mate but i find it a bit difficult watching after reading the books first. I imagine if i watched it without any knowledge of the story i would enjoy it a lot more but on a Thursday night with f*ck all else on i will keep watching.

They should throw in some Dragons and ice zombies; that'll get the interest level up!

Last episode was a good one! Not a bad show at all for the BBC. It's not as good as stuff like Rome but enjoyable.
